TL:DR: looking for recommendations for a very powerful and/or precision directed clit vibe, or upgrades to my “starter” toys.

Hi all!

I’m in my thirties but new to using toys for masturbation. Have always had extreme difficulty in experiencing orgasms and a little while ago I decided to make it a project and am approaching this semi-scientifically, ha!

The love egg and bullet vibe are pleasant, but after several long sessions (direct skin contact and through underwear, externally and internally, direct to clit or elsewhere, no lube, some lube or lots of lube) I am reasonably certain neither could give me an orgasm.

I upgraded to the Lovehoney Classic mains powered wand, and again after experimentation I’m sure it won’t get me off. I find if I fairly passively use the wand for half an hour or so that “warms me up” and it’s easier to get off…

BUT…

To actually orgasm, I need the damn toothbrush. And the line between “intense, staggering orgasm” and “I think I’ve just abraded away some skin in a VERY sensitive place” is extremely close. And the process from starting a masturbation session to finishing can be anywhere from 1-3 hours long there’s only about a 33% chance of an actual orgasm. I enjoy experiencing that much arousal but would like to be able to orgasm more reliably.

So: I’m looking to replace my toothbrush with something that can be as intense and focussed, but have less chance of actually injuring me!

So, questions…

The bullet and egg I got were very much “these are cheap and I like the colour, let’s try them and see if I like the sensation.” Is it worth upgrading to better/more powerful models?

I love the sensation of being full to the point of discomfort, if that makes sense. Is there something along the lines of a powerful wand vibrator that can be inserted some depth?

Is the Lovehoney Classic wand very different from the “extra powerful” version? I feel like I need INTENSE sensations and the more intense the more I enjoy them.

What toy can replicate the precision of a toothbrush? With the electric toothbrush, all the power of the motor is going into the head and therefore directly onto my clit. With the bullet and egg vibes the whole device vibrates, so there seems to be a lot of wasted energy, and no way to precisely direct it.

I’m yet to try out clit suction toys or rabbits, but I don’t necessarily want to try something totally different yet, for now I’m more interested in upgrading/refining my current toys.

I certainly believe there will be more people who can give you advice on this. You are putting in a lot of effort / work to achieve what you want. In terms of a precision clitoral stimulation guaranteed orgasm, for me it is 100% a suction toy.

I have the Melt and the InsideOut and they are both great though other people will also have high recommendations for the other suction toys I’m sure.

For me, no egg is ever going to get me all the way.

In terms of bullets, yes, it probably is worth upgrading; again people will have very different ideas on their personal favourites but mine is the Mantric Bullet. Deep, rumbly and very powerful for it’s size and a lovely feeling silicone and shape too.

For fullness and overall amazing stimulation and orgasm I always have to recommend the Mantric Rabbit. Amazing all round toy with both great G-Spot and clitoral stimulation. My full review is here if you want to read it.

Mrs Chimp is a big fan of the Zumios; they’re very precise, and very intense. :slightly_smiling_face: They oscillate rather than vibrate. I wrote a comparison review of the E and the X if you fancy a read?

The suction style toys are also rather targeted, and can be very intense. They work. In a different way to vibrators too, and use air pressure to stimulate the clitoris. There’s a bit of general discussion about them in this topic Womanizer - did it work?, and a comparison table from April here.

The Red Hot Flickering Tongue is pretty intense too. It’s ever so tiny, but that little thing has quite a kick. :slightly_smiling_face:

Mrs Chimp likes pairing her clit toys with glass dildos (this Beaded one in particular). She finds internal vibes are less important to her than firm stimulation, though a good clit toy with ‘vibes’ that travel is a must. Glass can also feel girthier than toys of a similar size in softer materials as there’s no give.

Though don’t forget about other areas too. Adding in a bit of nipple play is one of the main things that pushes Mrs Chimp to an 11 on the orgasm scale. :slightly_smiling_face: Different people like different things though, so you may have to explore to find yours.

Agree with @Peitho likelyhood is no love egg will do it.

Have you tried a g spot toy yet? Some people really need firm pressure for g spotting. There are some good glass options for that, that are affordable. Like the beaded glass dildo everyone speaks highly of.

Some people need more pinpoint stimulation than a wand so, like everyone said, clit suction toys, the slikery tongue ones and zumio types are the go to for the other end of the scale.

Also have a go at some other erogenou s zones would be my advice too. Mixing as many as possible together really helps me when i struggle. Recommend trying some Nipple suckers and Nipple clamps (you can bend them tighter before putting these on, they are quite malleable)

Maybe consider a butt plug if you havent tried one already, personally i find they help alot.

Lots of great suggestions above but for me personally it has to be a clit sucker. You can’t get more focused than that and mine will bring me to orgasm in about 1 min… sometimes less and its not like anything a buzzy toy can give you.
The key with everyone though is just trial and error. Every body is different and requires different things to bring pleasure.
When you’re masturbating is it a very quick process… ie you know the goal and try to get there as quickly as possible. If this is the case, maybe slow it down. Caress your body, warm it up, watch porn if that’s your thing, use your fingers to explore yourself and take your time. Maybe use a lube that stimulates the area. Maybe use a dildo or vibrator to give you that full feeling while playing. If anal is something you like the sound of, maybe a small buttplug also. The possibilities and options are endless.

Suction toys can be precise, intense if that’s what you need and less likely to cause soreness as they surround the clitoris but don’t actually touch it. We’ve just got the Womanizer Classic and, after disappointing results with other brands this has rapidly become one of her favourites.

Some fantastic suggestions here, the desire bullet and tango will give the precision stim you’re looking for. I’m thinking that you said you need precision clit stim that is why the wand isn’t doing it.

I certainly wouldn’t rule out a clit sucker, they are incredible and by far the best toy I own infact all other clit toys got made redundant when I got a clit sucker.

Also I’d definitely try something with weight like glass or metal in dildo form for g-spot stim :+1:

Keep experimenting! I’m like you in that it takes quite a bit of effort to get me off, and I was nearly 30 before I finally had an orgasm. It’s been sporadic for the last 10 years but I’m getting better at it.

Recently we’ve been trying toys (newcomers to LH here) and have had very good results.
Alone, I’ve become quite partial to the Mantric Wand with my clit hood pulled back for maximum contact - I need it powerful too. But last weekend I tried a butt plug for the first time, with the intention of using the wand in front, while he spooned me from behind. We found that everything working together meant that the wand was too much, so I moved it up on my pubic bone to lessen the rumbles. Both of us came in about 30 seconds and we collapsed in a fit of giggles cos of how unusual that is. If the butt plug had a hand, I’d shake it cos it totally changed his trajectory and made such a difference. I really recommend one.

Late to the party but in case the Tongue doesn’t do it for you…

I progressed from cheap to expensive, as I suspect quite a few people do. I also have the toothbrush attachment.

I do believe the Tango might be the perfect match for you as it has the same texture as the toothbrush. I have found that sometimes my clit feels a drag on silicone so will swap from my Mantric bullet or the Red Hot tongue to my Tango and get the intensity my clit needs at that time.

I also second the Zumio Mr Chimp has mentioned. I also use Mrs Chimp’s trick of the Beaded glass (or steel) dildo paired with a clit vibe.

As for internal toys, my G-Spot is a very picky beast. The best I’ve found for internal use (apart from a discontinued toy I still have) is the Hot Octopuss Kurve. That has very deep vibrations that really travel through me and a head that, though not as firm as most, really hooks into place. Oddly enough, although I prefer rumbly toys to the cheaper higher frequencies, but the treble had more of an impact than I expected.

Honestly, though, the difference for me between many clit vibes and the Tango is night and day - especially if I’m feeling horny but my clit is being stubborn. Tango ALWAYS does it for me.

Suction toys will also drag an orgasm out of me whether I want one or not. The Melt is my favourite so far but I’m sure you’ll be back for recommendations.

For a bullet vibe with a very intense vibration I recommend the old classic the We-vibe Tango, I don’t have the newer version so I can’t vouch for that but the original one has an amazing vibration rumbly rather than buzzy.
