Last Film You Watched?

Toy Story 5, it was quite apt with the kids being addicted to devices rather than playing with actual toys.

I have lost count how many times I have seen that, I did see it about 3 times upon release, as it was mindblowing FX at the time!

Unfortunately I’m watched the hacked up release where they added CGI Jabba, it just looks wonky especially the conversation between Solo, there is other lipsync issues in this release.

Yeah i saw that at the cinema too way back in 1997 for the 20th anniversary! Didn’t mind some of the added cgi, but Jabba was a step too far!

I haven’t seen any films in ages… Just haven’t got the patience for them these days. Probably an old Sherlock Holmes one was the last one. :face_with_monocle:

Sure i read that next year the original unadulterated 1977 version will be released at the cinema for the 50th anniversary.

Not a film but I’ve been meaning to watch the Handmaids Tale for ages .. and I now I finally start find that Prime are deleting it in the next few days. Lets see if I can get through the whole thing by the time it vanishes. Really enjoying it in a slightly horrifying, recognising where the world is going, kind of way.

Handmaid’s Tale is gripping and totally horrifying, especially the first two seasons. I sincerely hope the world doesn’t end up that way.

The Fog. I first saw this at the cinema when it came out in 1980 and it scared the life out of me! It’s still scary now, the music is especially creepy.

Glad you didn’t mention the reamake 2005, they really didn’t get that one right.

Oh god that remake was tragic!

Sadly alot of remakes should of never happened, they try to make things a bit different and totally fail.

We went to see ‘heart of the beast’ at the cinema last week. There weren’t many dry eyes at the end.

Considering it was a film starring Brad Pitt, the production cost must have been minimal, very few actors, majority appears to be shot in one location but still if you’re a dog lover, take tissues.

One of the worst remakes ever was The Wicker Man with Nicolas Cage. I loved the original and hated the remake.

Lot’s of Remakes should never have been, another is the Robocop remake! I see there’s a Carrie tv series starting this week, i will give it a try, but not expecting much!

Watched the new resident evil film, I love horrors and if there’s a decent one in cinema I’m pretty much guaranteed to go see it but woww it was good, so many moments that felt like when you’re playing a game.

I also watched practical magic 2 last week …. First one is one of my favourite films, this in my opinion was a terrible cash grab (complete with a ninja slushy ad). Just as some remakes should never be made some sequels shouldn’t either
