Living under a rock, clueless about shaving body hairx

Watching tv with my OH, and a commercial came on regarding a new razor for men for removing body hair. My OH said “ why would men want to remove body hair ?”. So how do you explain that ?

Apparently she isn’t living in the real world, or at least not paying attention to current styles or topics. Anyone else think men shaving body hair is weird ?

We both think being completely shaved is a strange look on a man. We agree that certain areas should be shaved but for the most part they should just be groomed so it is neat and tidy.

Everyone has different preferences though so each to their own.

I shave my cock and balls…i just feel cleaner.

Also my wife has a thing about getting hairs in her mouth.

She is buffed too…i love the feel of a smooth kitty on my tongue.

Myself, I wax, butt crack, perineum, ball sack, shaft, tops of legs and an inch above the shaft, anything that is left a short trim. Mrs Balls just has a short trim all over ,as that is what she prefers. We are both happy with ourselves and each others choices. A good place to start with a talk and then possible start with a trim, but are all different, good luck.

I Clean shave all my pupic hair at the front and on my cock and balls. I like the looks and feel of being bold there. And it also makes my cock look bigger

I’ve been feminised by my wife for some years now and part of that is being completely hair free.

I am prone to ingrown hairs so the only place I shave is my balls. I use hair removing cream on my chest, stomach and groin and use an epilator on my arms, legs, bum and back. It’s a bit of a faff but it’s a regime which works for me.

I like to use my cock ring but I need to get it off quick at the point of ejaculation, and rings and pubic hair are not friends.

No I don’t think it’s weird, its just down to personal preference as to what people do with their own body hair.

Hubby will sometimes shave his chest but otherwise it’s a shave and trim of his cock and balls. He doesn’t shave his !egs or his underarm or arms as I don’t like my man to be completely hairless including his head. He once told me that he was going to completely shave his head until I told him bald men are a complete turn off for me.

I think male grooming is heading that way. Less than 100 years ago it was weird for anyone to shave, then successful ad campaigns made it not just the norm but the expectation for women.

I think male advertising has lagged behind, but they’ve realised there’s an untapped market to sell to if they make it sound desirable.

I just think it is odd that my wife can’t figure out that men would want to remove body hair. It seems a new thing over here in the states. When we were in Europe, I saw a lot of clinics with photos of smoothly shaved, waxed, or lasered men in the windows. She must have entirely missed those pictures. Having women shave their legs and arm pits has been a thing seemingly forever. It doesn’t seem odd to me that now the practice is becoming vogue for men. There is a new trend of women growing their pubes back in, which is gaining steam. I suppose I missed the boat in ever witnessing a completely bare mound.

Ok I’m single, but if I was partnered, ultimately I would accept whatever he was most comfortable with.

To be entirely honest though, if I had the choice… I prefer guys unshaven. First of all, body hair is a major turn on, on both men and women (got just a bit turned on before shopping for underwear and seeing hair through sheer knickers after seeing so many models completely shaven!).

In the pubic area, I feel it’s more out the way on a guy than it is on a woman, so it’s less of a concern.

Yes, it does get caught in the mouth sometimes, but in the same way, it’s like gagging on a penis when it’s shoved down the throat, or being bossed around in the bedroom - its raw and its hot!! But then i’m someone who’s more turned on by Russell Crowe types than smooth lovers. Squeaky clean doesn’t do it for me, but that’s just me personally, everybody is different.

Me personally, I shave most of it off even though it’s not easy for me to do with my problems. First of all, there’s loads of it so it ends up shedding everywhere and it’s annoying seeing pubic hairs everywhere. Secondly, it has a massive difference to sensation. It’s hard to describe, but there’s so many nerves in that area and when there’s loads of hair on it it’s like petting a sheep instead! And of course it’s easier to keep clean as well.

I really wish you would stop talking about your wife in a derogatory way. She sounds like a very nice lady and she is just expressing her views, which she is entitled to X

Maybe growing up it wasn’t as popular so it’s slightly foreign to her? We get set in our ways and change is often harder to understand.

I’ve found it’s often generational - my nan and grandad was similar when it came to online banking, they couldn’t understand why it was needed or easier. I remember going with them to the building society, bank book in hand and that’s how you got an updated balance - they would then take money out, place the money on the fireplace at home for each bill and then pay with cash. I did manage to sort direct debits for them in the end :slightly_smiling_face: bless them!

Personally I (MrH ) can’t be assed with shaving but I know my wife loves it when I’m smooth as it “feels better”. I use hair removal cream and on Friday she helped me do it for the first time as I missed a patch on my balls last time round so she “tried” to help making sure I get it all only to find out we missed a spot the other side.

I personally don’t care how much hair she has I fact I would rather their be hair, just seems more natural and right where as she shaves every other night as she hates the feeling of anything down their.

Honestly where do you stop ?

Men grooming ?

Men shaving isnt weird at all imo.its what ever that person likes and to a degree what their partner likes should they want to do it to accommodate their preference for it.its really not a huge thing for us both but my O/H has a hairy chest but says it’s really hot in the heat so trims it down really close.hes totally smooth downstairs too as he does it every day so upkeep is very minimal. He likes the feel and the look .I’m the same and we prefer it for oral and just the visual look.but as I’ve said before ,each person’s choice and their is no right or wrong.

I voted nowhere for men but only because trimming wasn’t an option. I will refer to my meme :partying_face:

Where in the surve Is the option of fall frontal balls and cock. I Once had this done at a waxing salon. I think they call it a front Holywood I walked in and was told to strip to the waist downward and lie on the couch. I then had a woman I have Never met before handling my penis whilst waxing me. Not fully errect by time I left but well on the way

It’s not at all strange to me. When I was on the swinging scene, it was rare to find people with any body hair.

I’ve not shaved since 2020. Just can’t be bothered, especially as my OH doesn’t care whether I’m shaven or not. Likewise, I don’t mind his body hair. I love nothing more than snuggling into his hairy chest and twirling his hair.

I don’t think it’s weird for men to shave body hair if they want to, but I don’t think it’s really talked about. I certainly don’t know any men who have told me that they shave their body hair.

When I was young, I was taught that women shave their legs and underarms but men don’t. That’s it. No discussion of why. I just accepted it. Your wife was probably the same.

I don’t think she’s out of touch. Why would she know about men’s shaving habits? It’s not like she’s going to go around all her male friends and ask if they shave, where, and how! And I don’t think a discussion about our partners shaving choices is a top topic of conversation amongst female friends either.

I don’t get why you seem to be obsessed about her shaving herself (from other threads) or her understanding of male shaving choices. We all have our personal preferences, some shave, some don’t. Both are ok. It’s a personal choice that is made for many reasons. Maybe you could just explain why men are choosing to shave rather than complain about her lack of knowledge.
