As a Male mid 20s living at home I find it hard to masturbate freely so to speak and moan with risk of being heard or caught. Always masturbate under the covers as well just in case.

White noise. We put loud rain sounds on to sleep, and it works well for covering up noises so the rest of the house doesn’t hear anything.
@BUSTYSTCLAIRE thank for your suggestion, I don’t make that much noise myself only when cumming that I moan or fast movements make more of a noise. Have to be careful with flashlight due to the squelching noise it makes as well. Am sick of waiting for an empty house just to be able to masturbate
We have kids and a small house, so I understand what you mean. It’s hard to be quiet sometimes but I find the white noise works well, or a tv show turned on low. Plus a big blanket to hide under, and a lock for your door!

I lived at home with my mum for a long time, then I had room mates, THEN I had a family. I have never been able to just have a wank in solitude so I totally get it. Yes, family walking in is the worst! Luckily I have mostly managed to avoid it. I grew up without a locking door though, that sucked.

Have you tried the shower? Our family bathroom had a lock. Running water is pretty good at hiding noise 
@Stacy2 i do for a quickie if I need a fast release and it’s okay but I like to be able to lie down and often edge as well so usually like try and have a long session if possible but is usually interrupted at some point before I can finish myself. Downside is then because I cover up with the sheets and edge it often leads to quite a mess to sort. Plus with the shower makes handling a phone a bit more challenging as well but makes clean up way easier Have to have phone on silent as well either way
You can replace your door handle with a locking handle that looks the same as the old one. I didn’t realize how easy it is to do until recently. Hardware stores sell them. Total game changer. As an adult no one should be questioning you for wanting a locking door on your bedroom.

Having a lockable door will change your life.
Yeah, that’s the unfortunate part. I’m out of ideas other than booking a hotel for the night (depends how much you want it). You don’t have to answer, but is it parents who walk in or your siblings? At your age privacy should be respected

Maybe a lock is the way to go. My only thought is, will they then question why you need a lock? I know it can be awkward but maybe having an adult conversation with them and explaining you need a little bit of privacy. Any parent would be willing to respect that and not have a problem with it

It definitely and quite literally is a sticky situation and is more so at the moment quite literally with what I’m currently doing when wanting to wank myself off without being caught 
I was lucky as my room was at the top so they mostly shouted up but would never just come in to my room.
What I found worked when we had a child was putting a chair in front of the door so it couldn’t be opened, that could also work for you, you could even put a vacuum cleaner near the door to make it look like you are cleaning.
I would identify a new handle with a lock, then maybe say your old door handle is broken (if they are likely to inspect, then remove a piece of the internal lock so it doesn’t actually work.) Then you could replace with a locking handle of your choice without it looking suspicious.
