Metal butt plugs…

I have a toy question!! :raising_hand_man:t2:

Why is there such a massive price difference between some of these metal butt plugs?
I know it’s different brands and that but is it also quality too?!

Like this one from LH, is it cheaper metal or plated or hollow… and will that ultimately affect the durability of the toy?

Compared to this plug from Njoy which I feel is mostly spent on the fancy box lol! But is it more solid and better quality?!

I have the cheaper Lovehoney one and used it for years and cannot find fault at all

Also on looking at both I still prefer the lovehoney one :lovehoney_heart:

Honestly have no idea, we’ve always bought the cheaper one’s which are always good quality and do exactly what they say on the tin.
Although saying that my OH has found the weight to be an issue lately and holding them in, and stopping them falling out to be a big issue lately, obviously she’s stretched to a point where this was going to be an issue, so even though she loves the metal plug as she said they used to be the most comfortable, she’s gone back to the silicone jewelled plugs thats exactly the same but lighter.
She could have gone to larger metal plugs but she feels she got her stretching to a size she’s happy with.
Sorry I digress, Maybe the dearer plugs are lighter?

So the Lovehoney one is a zinc alloy whilst Njoy use a type of stainless steel often used for medical equipment. So, yeah the metal is much better on the Njoy so it’s going to be more expensive. Njoy are also a luxury brand, with higher levels of design than your standard metal butt plugs, which again knocks up the price.

Technically, the Njoy is better but that doesn’t make the Lovehoney one bad. Just different ends of the market

Exactly what @Calie said!

Pure stainless steel butt plugs are basically the highest grade and will be more expensive. I think zinc alloy is fine.

What you really want to watch for are really cheap ‘metal’ butt plugs from non-reputable sellers that may just be a chrome plating (which can chip off over time) over some cheap metal which may not be very body-safe.

Just regarding the njoy butt plug you linked, I have the small version and my husband has the medium version, and we both love them :star_struck::peach:

That’s like the perfect answer I was hoping for as I still think most of the njoy prices are on the fancy box which I’m sure most would rather just a nice velvet pouch to put in for discreet storage lol

I think the weight won’t bother me and might add to the fun  my main worry was if the cheaper plug had been made by a lesser quality of metal that could effect the skin or eventually rust from washing…

Interesting  so the zinc alloy could this have any impact on our body in time from use do you think?

That’s defo my worst fear and what I’m wondering about but if the lovehoney one is fully body safe and won’t rust or chip or effect insides then it defo will be a great buy I’ll look into

Would you say the medium is much different in size from the small as I was looking at the reviews and some said the medium is kinda small for what it is?

@AJSTAR My OH has, sorry had used the same LH metal plug for years now and it’s still in perfect condition, no tarnishing, no rusty and still as shiny and smooth as when she bought it. For her the only reason she retired it was the weight, to be honest its probably best to start with the cheaper one first to see if you like it, I’ve tried it and it does feel good, the weight does add another sensation.
Oh and personally I’d go for the largest.

I haven’t personally used the LH zinc alloy one, but based on @Yes_man and their partner’s experience with, and the product description, I would say the LH plug is pure, solid zinc alloy. You should be safe with trying the LH one first and shouldn’t have to worry about chipping or rusting. Chrome plated ones would show their obvious wear and tear after a while.

My word of warning was more for other, less reputable sellers that may not truthfully list the materials of their products. For example if you found a toy elsewhere that claims to be fully stainless steel with a price that’s too good to be true, it’s probably some other metal that is chrome plated!
LH seems to be pretty good with accurately labeling the toy materials, i.e. chrome plated toys say so in the product description so you can make your own informed choices about level of material safety you are looking for!

The small is pretty tiny, but it’s perfect for me  I’ve seen people mention they outgrew the medium pretty quickly, so it’s probably on the smaller end for people who are comfortable using butt plugs :woman_shrugging:

Haha! Greedy bum :joy: think that’s helped me decide now to consider getting the lovehoney one  I also need to update my hush plug too as seen the newer version has improved massively!!

Most definitely, I’m so cautious about buying toys anywhere else as would always rather come here first knowing I’ll get looked after well :relieved:

Interesting :joy: think if I was to go for one of the expensive ones I’d have to make the most of it and get the large so I know it’d not be too small! Then again I’ve found in recent times it’s often the smaller toys what feel nicer than the bigger ones

@AJSTAR Yes its a well fed greedy bum, the larger the portions the better!!:heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

Good to have a big appetite for things! I tend to love watching porn when men play with large toys as it fascinates me how it all fits up there!! :joy:

@AJSTAR, my problem is watching porn with men fitting large toys up there, as now I’m trying, slowly, to emulate them.:smirk::smirk::smirk::kissing_heart:
