I’m gutted to hear that, @Knight1119 ![]()
Is this something you’re wanting help or advice with from the forum? I’m sure there would be quite a few good people on here who might offer support or advice.
You seem like such a decent guy.
Sending hugs.

Thanks @Knottydevil, I probably should have just kept that to myself.
That’s totally your prerogative too.
Hope you’re ok.
It’s possible, but talking about it is likely more helpful.
Articulating your thoughts helps you realise where are at with better, be it articulating orally or written.
It took me much too long to realise that.
Look after yourself.
Hi so here’s my experience you’re not on your own, me and my wife had an amazing sex life 3-4 times a week normally and was experimenting different and new stuff, she was in to oral light bondage watching porn. As soon as got pregnant with first stopped having sex ( I was still desperate for it she went off it) didn’t have sex again until started trying for second we have 2 and bit year age gap in between them, currently not had sex for just shy of 2 years again as soon as pregnant it stopped. I keep trying and get rejected every time always a different excuse, very little affection I have to push to get any cuddles or kisses definitely no oral or any other form of touching or playing! I get so frustrated and upset by it feel worthless and unloved tried talking about it she just gets annoyed every time I bring up sex in conversation. Won’t try anything, won’t talk about it At end of tether
I feel your pain. In exactly the same boat and no idea where to go with it. When i have managed to get her to talk about sex her answer is basically that it doesnt feel right now that shes a mum and she doesnt really feed any need for sex, whereas i still want to be active and would happily have it most days but theres no balance with us
Hey @Scottishfunk
just read through the thread from the start.
You really have had some challenging times, but some great support / advice from the LH community. Although this helps understand it must still be a real struggle which is enhanced with frustration.
How are things going now ? Any progress in your life ?
My marriage has been without any type of intimacy for the last 10 years and although that is sad, the positive side is that I became much more adventurous (by myself) and discovered toys and types of intimate play that I would have otherwise not experienced.
So I guess the moral of my story is to stay positive if possible and look for new opportunities.
I should start this post by making it clear that I am in no way a professional in the medical field.
Have you considered that your woman’s lack of interest in sexual intimacy is due to postnatal / post-partum depression? It’s actually much more common than we tend to think it is, and lack of interest in intimacy or sexual relationships is one of the symptoms of post-partum depression.
Apart from that, some births can “alter” things for a woman down below, especially if she needed some form of surgical assistance during birth (caesarean, forced incision to widen the birth cavity, etc). There’s a condition called dyspareunia (had to check the spelling for this, lol) that causes pain during sex after birth. I’m no expert, so I’m not going to give you a long explanation of what this is, feel free to Google or, even better, ask a doctor.
If your woman is still breastfeeding, then I believe I heard that she could also be producing hormones that cause vaginal dryness, which is apparently nature’s way to make sure that her body focuses on the care of her current child rather than making another one too soon.
Honestly, the best person you can be speaking to about this is someone in the medical profession, like a local GP, especially if your woman seems to be depressed (ie, post-partum depression). We completely random horny buggers from a forum about sex toys probably aren’t the best bunch to go to for advice about mental health. ![]()
If there’s definitely no depression there at all and your woman has just decided to become asexual (which is her absolute right to do so, married or not), then maybe you can sit down and have a discussion about open relationships.
