February 9th is Global Pizza Day.

Didnā€™t know this was a thing until church today. The places and where you learn things is fun.

But ignoring the whole is pineapple :pineapple: on a pizza (we can battle that one out next year)

What is your dream pizza?

For me it would be Cheese stuffed sourdough thin crust pizza base with sun dried tomato base and mushrooms, bacon a little spicy chorizo and a mix of cheddar mozzarella Edam and applewood.

Thank you I am now very hungry! :joy: For me it would be just have to be meaty. Although some BBQ flavoured pizzas are too sweet but never not liked a tomato based one :drooling_face:

Definitely a BBQ Chicken Pizza, Deep pan, BBQ base with chicken, peppers, onions, bacon and sweetcorn. My favourite go to!

Iā€™m a pig for pizza so would just eat whatever I sees :rofl:

When I make random home pizza I tend to put ham, peppers, red onion, mushrooms, peas, yes pineapple (lol!), salad, tomatoes and cheeseā€¦ basically whatever is sitting about :sweat_smile:

As long as it had no tomato (the base is okay), onions, peppers, olives, spicy stuffā€¦ :nauseated_face:

It would probably be some combination of pepperoni, ham, bacon, chicken, mushroom, sweetcorn and pineapple.

As someone who makes pizza from scratch a fair bit, I donā€™t have many ā€˜dream pizzasā€™ anymore as I just make them

Prosciutto, garlic sausage sliced thin, spinach, fig, brie and drizzle of honey - itā€™s awesome!

Happy (late) pizza day lol!
I would do absolutely anything for a nice big pizza covered in loads of mozzarella, maybe pepperoni, bacon, even more mozzarella. Mmm making me hungry now thinking about it :drooling_face:

Pizza is my very favoritist food ever!!:grin::grin:

Iā€™m currently addicted to any pizza that has 'Nudja as part of its topping especially the Aldi wood fired salami and 'nduja pizza, they say it serves 2!!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

And a side of cheesey chips with garlic sauce or Mayo.

Uber late to the party but whateverā€¦
ā€œCanadianā€ especially if them mushrooms be sautĆ©ed and the bacon be thick sliced.

Aside from that, Iā€™ll take homemade over boxed or restaurant.
My recipe for example:

  1. Homemade tomato sauce with herbs and spices
  2. A thin blanket of caramelized onions
  3. Ground beef
  4. Green bell peppers
  5. SautƩed mushrooms
  6. Mozzarella cheese

Those caramelized onions add a nice subtle touch of sweetness to everything.
