Poor show

When are you going to improve the selection of bondage gear for men ? You seem to do every possible toy under the sun for women but when it comes to men you seem to slack off and don't provide anywhere near the same level of service.

So far this is always the reason I go to your competitors for toys because your selection for men just sucks.

I'm a man who's pretty heavily into bondage, and yes some specialist items aren't available here, but most of my needs are met by LH, what in particular is it you're not finding?

It's entirely possible that male bondage gear just doesn't sell as well as female bondage gear.

However, if you look for the PANDER TO ME thread, if there are products you would like Lovehoney to stock, you can request them in there and If it's possible, they might try and stock it.

It never hurts to politely ask :)

Hi Dennis235

Thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry you feel our current selection of bondage gear doesn't suit your needs.

As the others have said, commenting on the PANDER TO ME Thread, or emailing us directly with suggestions or requests for products is a great way to let us know where we can improve our services and product range.

You appear to be missing out on a large section called CBT. I would recommend you look into it and try and understand the last array of toys that live under that category because at the moment you have virtually nothing associated with it. Looking under that category on one of your competitors we see about 6 different type of ball crusher, spike wheels etc it seems to be a world which you have forgotten about. Have a look at this link to see what I am talking about :- http://www.uberkinky.co.uk/cock-ball/cock-ball-torture.html?gclid=CMHGxr_99MACFQQGwwodzAwAlg&p=1

Based on Lovehoney's typical customer base, I would assume most of the products you have linked too there are probably far to extreme for the majority of Lovehoney's customers - hence it wouldn't be financially viable to have those sorts of items for sale here as they just won't sell.

Lovehoney is an 'all round' kind of store, that covers all the most common things that people want in their bedrooms. I very much doubt that Lovehoney have 'forgotten' about anything - it just might not be a big seller for them.

Ido agree that there should be at least one of everything, I can't find any ball torture on lovehoney, there are a few pinwheels though

Just going to put another vote forward for more CBT stuff. Although I think Lovehoney is more mainstream, I would certainly purchase CBT stuff here if it was available here!

technically there is this: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=31523

and in the bdsm section there is a cock and ball toy section.

As much as there is not that much there it has probably catered for most of the customers until now I suppose.

There is definitely some CBt stuff yeah. I think if you want something more extreme though, you have to go to a specialist store, but thats always the way. Theres mainstream and theres specialist in lots of industries. Still, as a fan of the more extreme, I wouldn't complain if there was more ouchy devices there! :D

I am only telling you as I know a lot of people don't shop with you because you have missed out this section. It's not extreme, or niche you have nipple clamps and all kinds of other types of similar products just because it is applied to another part of the body does not make it extreme. Your competitors do maintream and things like that. Either way I don't care all I am saying is why I and many friends don't use you. What you do with this information is up to you.

Well I'm glad you took the time to join to tell us :)

Very good point, it's not specialist at all, it's the same as nipple clamps. Stick it in the pander to me thread

Just re -read this and I am quite disgusted in which the 'tone' of the original posters message comes across. I know things can be misconstrued in text, but I am sure I have read it right this time.

The original poster may know people who do not shop on here for CBT stuff but as others have pointed out, there is CBT stuff available.

To describe Lovehoney as a 'poor show' is just damn right rude and completely unsubstantiated, considering they are the leading online retailer of sex toys. I also know from personal experience that they can and will go out of there way to help out a customer with stocking items. I had previous emailed customer service driectly with a link to another site for an item asking whether they could source it as I wanted to purchase via here and not use another retailer. Turns out it was in the pipeline to stock anyway.

Furthermore to then go on to say that you do not care either way just completely belittles your own rant about Lovehoney being a poor show.

I would call a company with the following credentials a poor show...

I do feel as though the OP came in with totally the wrong attitude. However, he's only come on the forum for that porpose whereas usual people have a little more respect and understanding for how things work around here, if you want something ask nicely, they'll try their best

+1

Precisely!

Please do feel free to link us to any products you've seen elsewhere in the PANDER TO ME thread and our buyers will look at the range for you :)

After all, if you don't ask, you don't get - so it's always worth asking us for toys we may lack currently.

I'm always up for more BDSM style items, but I do feel, that a lot of products which are advertised for one sex can work for the other - this is very true in BDSM.

The thing is, I also see3 Jess's side. Some of it is too extreme, so extreme that it wouldn't interest many everyday BDSM players. Heck even as a pro Domme, there are loads of people who want to try the extreme, but only as a one off. So those people find a Mistress, or an event generally. It's rare for these people to go out and buy one of the extreme items for personal play (particularly if they are in a relationship and don't want their OH to find out for what ever personal reasons they may have).

ALso I think the arguement 'I know a lot of people who don't shop here because of a lack of BDSM / CBT items' isn't very fair. Remember one should avoid trying to speak for others as it's not very fair. But to get to my point, I still shop at Lovehoney for items, including the odd BDSM item, even though I also shop else where for the extreme BDSM items.

On another note, a lot of the extreme BDSM items are made by small time vendors or specialist craftmen. As someone who bys a selection of mass produced toys, I have also found that for the desire session I sometimes need something more unique, so will get a custom job. It's not just Mistresses who do this, but many people who are in committed relationships within the BDSM scene also do this too.

Also once again, Jess is right it doesn't sell well, basically on a site which has a bit of everything. A few sites I've written for have found it hard to shift BDSM items even the more vanilla, when they are a shop with a little bit of everything. However when I've worked with BDSM focused sites, it sells pretty well.

Ok enough rambling.

Sure I'd love more extreme BDSM stuff too, but I also understand why it's not stocked (plus I've been amazed by the increse here over the last couple of years anyway, so bravo LH).

Agree with Ness on many points there. I am particularly fond of the Dominx range myself. I think this was a fabulous addition.
