Your tester wishlist is called ‘toy tester list’ rather than ‘Sex Toy Testers’. I’m not sure if that makes a difference?
Hi @Goth_Girl
You need to paste that link into the Web Site box on your Preferences/Profile page. Then it shows up in your profile.
Yes, but the hub one has your wishlists in too, so it’s a much better/more informative page to include in your profile.
It’s fine to link either though.
Fab idea! All done and added to my bio currently waiting for some of my reviews to go live x
Your profile is Hidden so I’m afraid we can’t see it. Brenna can though as she has special powers, so it’s not necessary for it to be Public for the Testing & Reviewing side of things.
If you do want to make your profile public so anyone can have a browse of your posts and likes, etc (as well as being able to see your review link) you can untick the box next to Hide my public profile and presence features on your Preferences/Interface page.
Looks good to me.
I’ve noticed that a great number of members here (possibly the majority) have their profile hidden. Of course I respect people’s right to do so, but it is a bit of a “sledgehammer to crack a nut”, especially when any member is free to reveal as much or as little about themselves in their profile as they feel comfortable with.
I’m pretty sure that this happens because when a new member joins, their profile is hidden by default, and many newbies just never get round to unticking that box.
I find hidden profiles very frustrating, because it prevents me understanding the context of a member’s post(s). Often it’s impossible to give a relevant, helpful reply to someone if you don’t know their sexuality, gender identity or whether they’re single/married/polyamorous etc. - and let’s face it, this is a community in which mutual understanding of these things is vital!
I feel your pain, but it’s very much ‘player’s choice’. People can reveal as much or as little about themselves as they feel comfortable with.
The default is probably catching a few people out, but I scatter references to it (and how to change it) quite liberally as I boffle about, so hopefully people can make an informed decision when they’re ready.
(and all our profiles were defaulted to Hidden when we got imported over from the old site in August, so it won’t just be new members)
