I think what would surprise a lot of people younger than me is just how incredibly tame it all was. Back in the 70s, the kind of ‘adult’ mags available to those brave enough to reach them down off that top shelf in the newsagent’s shop (where the lady behind the counter knew your mum) were just pictures of naked or semi-naked women, sometimes showing off their bits. There were no pictures of anyone actually DOING anything: that kind of stuff was only to be found by mail order or in super-sleazy sex shops that got regularly raided by the police …if the proprietor had forgotten to pay the local constabulary their protection money.

I remember one particular episode of Eurotrash where they were taking plaster of Paris moulds of womens private parts both front and back, and then casting them into draw pulls for chest of drawers and other similar wooden furniture, so you inserted your finger to open the draws!

There is nothing wrong with a landing strip. Personally I don’t particularly like the total shaved look. A well manicured look is so much nicer. @Blonde_Bunny

Some great memories shared here and I recall them all. We used to cycle as a group of young male teenagers to a local laybye, where we’d regularly find top shelf magazines. Then to the garage for a pack of ten cigarettes for 20 pence.

Benny Hill used to do it for me!! Not Benny personally obviously but some of the daft sketches with girls in stockings and very little else. I know it’s frowned upon now as sexist and female exploitation but back then it was accepted and you can’t change the past!! I also used to love the German porn stuff. Macho guys with as much hair on their top lip as the women had between their legs That in itself would be regarded as a kink and only available on specialist sites nowadays.

I loved men only back in the day. Ended up working at one of Paul Raymond’s clubs in London for a while, moonlighting as a bouncer at night and a soldier by day lol. Mad times.
