I’m a stay at home dad, so probably not the best person to give any advice on this. 
But I watch a lot of Hotel Inspector, and she always asks them why they’re working so hard if it’s not making them happy. And something about ‘don’t work hard, work smart’ - though that might be David Brent.
Hopefully someone else has some actual experience you can benefit from.
