Thanks @Stacy2 it’s terrible, but unfortunately it’s part of a ongoing issue with Eon every year you know when it gets cold not by going out but a text message from eon saying we are aware of problems and it’s being fixed.
I definitely wouldn’t advise anyone to move to a area that has district heating run by eon.

Truly disgusting and even more that its a yearly occurrence. I didn’t understand district heating the last time we spoke about it, so did some research about it. It doesn’t sound great and seems problematic.
They’d be the first ones moaning if you missed a bill aswell I bet @teacake

Yes truly disgusting, When I moved here I thought it can’t be that bad I was so wrong, funny you say about missing a bill payment, I spoke to someone the other day the person said that he missed a payment it was only £5 but eon were quickly onto them and even charged them extra for missing the payment.
I have been using a electric heater and I had to really push them to get money back for the electric that I shouldn’t be using. For that to happen I had to make a complaint, that complaint has now been closed and I had to make another complaint because I’m still not getting heat.

Your spot on with your comments @WillC I remember ringing my bank and explaining my DD for BT was not correct. The adviser asked who are BT are they a well known co. Everyone knew who BT were back in the day, may be not now.

Thought you might enjoy a laugh . Over here were are fortunate to be getting rid of the Net Zero nonsense . Unfortunately , the higher cost is still lingering . I see there they are still attempting to outlaw fireplaces and wood stoves . Love the wood stove I have had for 44 years , when chilled outside , nothing like wood heat to warm your bones . @Oldman That’s great you looked that up all lies of course, There is Eon for Gas and then Eonheat (same company) and that is what I’m on. I’m wondering if you looked up Eon for Gas users? as Eonheat definitely aren’t great for vulnerable people.
Eonheat , luck of the draw . Our local energy company was sold to a Canadian and Austrian company a number of years ago . How a public utility was sold to foreign entities always puzzled me . They buy power from the Federal Bonneville Power Administration . Oddly enough the rates have climbed and climbed . My state is still running with the net zero scam . They are trying to kill natural gas altogether . Some times is amazes me that many state officials are smart enough to remember to breath . Oh yeah , they also want to remove all our dams that produce a large part of our electricity for a large part of the west coast . Yes absolutely as it’s supposed to be good for the planet eco etc.. but in reality we are wasting water running our hot taps for it to come warm then we also get it where it goes cold hot cold cold.
Who pays for the water bill we do, I have never heard eon giving money back to all the water we waste.
You can’t beat a proper fire

I blame my dad @Craig1234 but probably because he owned a coal yard and we had a back boiler growing up. No central heating just one fire on each floor of the house - old fashioned, proper stone house in the countryside. I loved weekends driving the tractor, filling the bags and knowing the difference between the different types of coal. How easy he carried the massive 50kg+ bags on his back with ease. Makes me appreciate the time we had together

After hearing what I have it sounds like the system is set up incorrectly and running at low pressure and community letter to other and Eon and a claim to the small claims court should get them feeling the heat you should do from a system like that
Definately … im just a part time arsonist, not too sure what i enjoy more? Harvesting the logs or warming my toes and snoozing by it on cold, damp and dull sunday afternoons

I hear you @Long-John-Silver this town was built about 15-20 years ago and apparently from day one it’s not been fit for purpose, because they don’t have anyone to answer to eon just doesn’t care, the council agreed to a 100 year contract so it’s just eon as the provider.
I’m not an expect but my business is green tech on all scales. I would suggest contacting the Everything Electric group they are on YouTube and suggest a what happens when things go wrong episode

Not sure if I should post in what cheered me up or in this….
I should be happy that I think my heating is finally fixed, it’s been about a month with lots of lies being told to me, like it was the the neighbours heating that caused me the problems his system was stealing my heat, I said now thats a complete lie his heating hasn’t been working for over a year, I know this because my neighbour asked if I could look at it to see if I could get it going.
So what was the problem apparently it was a massive air lock in the system before it enters my home, fixed by letting the air out and fitting valves on the pipes that automatically lets air out.
