To answer your question, (because I seem to have quelled responses by moving you to this topic!) I personally like the story type reviews more as long as all relevant points are addressed. I find them more engaging and they often address specific things missed in other reviews. I would say, I dont mean raunchy, erotic writing, as @FindingLibido says, they’re more likely not to get published and not what I’m looking for, but the personal experience you have with a toy or lingerie is helpful to me. I think quite a few of my reviews have “story type” specifics on issues I personally had, this one of the Jitterbug, or this one with lingerie, when things just don’t work, as examples .
As the others have said though, it’s entirely up to you how you write your review. I prefer a bit of engagement and personal experience AS WELL as key information but as long as the information is all there I think most of us will be happy reading them to help us decide if we want to buy a product.
Personal bugbear though… if reviewing lingerie, please everyone, state your specific shape and sizing, what size you bought and how it fitted. For me, this is the most key thing when I’m reading lingerie reviews.
