Rubbish £60 freebies are preventing sales

Just a heads up, this is my personal opinion.

I had njoy pure XL on my to buy shopping list for ages. I have taken the plunge just now. I would have purcahsed this and other things from lh earlier. But I have seen some decent stuff appear and disappear from the free £60 section a few times.

I’m a sucker for a good deal. I have added items to my checkout, and lurked on the £60 freebies and when they was the same ususal stuff I just avoided placing my order - just went away, check back next day. I think I postponed placing the order for a week.

I found the golden bullet which is semi decent so I placed the order.

I’ve often not added one because nothing has peaked my interest but a free gift wouldn’t and hasn’t stopped me from placing an order. I’ve had some fantastic free toys aswell.

This is just my thoughts of course :slightly_smiling_face:

I agree with @Stacy2, to me the free gift is an added bonus on top of what I actually wanted so I don’t delay an order in the hope something good comes up.

I guess I’m just not as loyal to lh as others.

I compare prices with other retailers and try to maximise value for myself.

I have shopped around @DefinatelyBi and bought from other retailers if Lovehoney doesn’t stock (for example Cottelli in bigger sizes).

I will say I’ve found many other websites don’t offer discount codes or if they do, it’s the minimum 10% OFF. Lovehoney offer some of the biggest discount codes on sex-toys in the UK - that and already having an account, means less hassle.

I think the shopping experience makes a big difference and the LH site is optimised compared to others. Some websites look like they were built in the early 00s and designed by kids :rofl:

I didn’t realise Cottelli did plus size! There are some items I absolutely would’ve bought from their range if they had been plus size. Disappointing that they’re not available at Lovehoney.

I’d have been more concerned with the njoy going out of stock, than getting a free gift :joy:

One of freebies has to be the LH ignite 20 wand, priced at about £30 we had it thrown in a larger order as a gift.

It is used a few times a week and found it really handy for both of us actually, so a win for once !

I felt the same way. I did pop them in Pander to me!..PRODUCTS ONLY but nothing came of it (which is understandable given the amount of requests). The Curves Collection goes upto 6XL which is a real shame that LH doesn’t stock them.

I’ve got 7-8 items now. They took a while to come from Europe, but I love the quality of them :grin:

I have the same one. Mine is red but I’ve seen a purple one I think. We also got a VCR free and it’s turned out to be my OH’s favourite one. He no longer uses the one we actually bought :sweat_smile:

I have been off this forum for far too long - it took me quite a while to work out you got a vibrating cock ring free rather than a videocassette recorder. I thought it was a bit retro that you were still buying and using them but I was quite impressed :rofl:

In response to the OPs question, I have so much random stuff that doesn’t get used that unless the free gift is something I was desperately after (never happens) or a lube/clensing product I regularly get through and replace, I would pass on it, so it doesn’t really affect my shopping.

Reminds me of my first ever order with Lovehoney a long time ago! I was buying my first sex toys so bought a selection of different things and spent enough to get a free gift. Didn’t get a choice, and I received this full sized, pretty girthy (or at least I thought it was at the time) blue rabbit. The bunny face was etched into the top of the shaft and the clit stim was a bunch of carrots the rabbit was holding. It was a bit weird, a bit scary and I tried it once and didn’t get very far with it! It never came out the box again! :joy:

These days, I have so many toys, most toy free gifts aren’t worth it. I either pick something I think I can give to someone else, use in my teaching box or something that I can chuck in a bag for travel and not worry about it getting lost/damaged whatever.

I do kind of like the idea that the free gifts change a bit though, although the ones I can see now are a pretty decent cross section of toys, keeps it interesting

The red mini wand is used every time we have sex. And im sure wife uses it solo too.

I got the golden bullet to use double up - wife loves clit stimulation.

The other freebie I have is lingerie. The blue lingerie - corset one, not the body is amazing on my wife. Really compliments my wifes wheat skin. And there was another lingerie in red that was on freebies.

Lingeries freebies are GOAT imho.

The current crop of freebies are just rubbish. the worlds smallest dildo, the shorted fuck sleeve, the worlds smallest butt plug and the worlds stupidest vibrating cock ring are the staple. Have no interest in any of them - I get it, they’re just getting rid of dead stock. But occasionally the freebies are quite good.

I have some other things I want to buy. I’ll be waiting for the red lingerie to come back on as a freebie.
