Sex, Disability and Neurodivergence

Agree with every word @Phil44. For Pete’s sake, I’ve got a first class honours degree, I run a small business, and people still see the disability aid rather than the person. So frustrating.

But the thing is not really able people’s fault at all and I dont blame them in the slightest for treating disabled people differently as their brains go in to “auto pilot” mode.. Yeah it makes me want to shout or scream sometimes but that wont help in the slightest.. Basically theres far fewer disabled people then abled people and thats the problem.

Thats another thing I dont really get, whats with having disabled dating sites when youre much, much more likely to get someone on a normal dating site.. Its like “Im disabled so I better go with other disabled people”, I just dont get that way of thinking but again thats people going into “auto pilot” mode again..

Me personally I try my hardest to keep my distance from disabled people and thats probably wrong, but I try my hardest to blend in with everyone and try not to draw attention to myelf, plus I dont want to be categorised and I certainly dont want the constant reminder that Im disabled.

I have a friend who suffers just like yourself with energy levels / Fibromyalgia. Fatigue/energy levels effect me as well, big time due to my MS. Its so frustrating, brain says you can do it, the body says NO.
I hope you are feeling a little or more better than last week. I bet this heat does not help. I think the mind set/determination is a big plus so keep on going girl. xxx @KinkyMira
