Sexy Pagans

Hey sexynurse09
I would say that I follow a more earth-based spirutuality that doesn't really fit any particular way. Sort of an anarcho-druid LOL.

That artical is infuriating! GRRR!!!

I (Rachel) am also a Pagan/Druid. It makes me SOOOO mad when people think it's ok to discriminate against people because of their beliefs. I think this happens a lot to Pagans, probably because Paganism isn't very mainstream. I often get asked if I worship the devil, which I think is hilarious, but ignorence breeds ridiculous stories about the unknown.

I had forgotten to remove my pentacle one time when I was working in a primary school. One kid came up to me, looked closely at it then smiled. When I asked "What were you looking at?" I got;

"I was checking to see if the pentagram was pointing up or down, since it's pointing up, I know you're not a bad guy!" and she walked off.

I could do nothing other than laugh because it was adorable and so right!

Kids are much more savvy these days and it's a good thing!

I don't really get what was outrageous about the news story? I don't think politics should involve religion in any way, they should be kept completely separate....the only thing I can see that is annoying about that article is the discrimination against one particular religion, seeings how American politics always seems to contain some religion of some kind, it's a bit hypocritical.

It read to me that the guy Halloran had defeated in selection was trying to use his heathenism to score points and get him dropped, which isn't right! I agree that politics, especially the US variety, are riddled with religion. I hardly think that this guy Halloran would have been campaigning for free mead or Viking funerals! It puts me in in mind of "Milk", which is a great film.

i am pagan but my lovin partner is not but my dad n step mum are also pagan so :)

Hi lil-mum-lola - coolness. What path are you on?

Sorry - I did mean lil-mumma-lolaExternal Media - I'm a bit dysxelic

Using sex to facilitate magical working, usually at the point of orgasm but not always. Using energy.

Just been invited to a pagan wedding next year - but have not got the first clue what it will be like, any ideas what to wear/expect?! I can't wait!

I've already had a Handfasting, was a nice ceremony

Yeah, was a couple years back now though, did the whole ceremony, was all official etc, was the traditional time length, and we didnt renew so *shrugs*

Oh wow really? o_O See, if I were to ever get to that stage, I'd want a life-long handfasting. NEVER an eternity one though...

As i said, it was the traditional way, and we didnt renew after that time, and parted not long after

Not really a shame, he wasnt right for me, plus, he didnt have the same beliefs as me, so it didnt mean as much to him.

But my OH now, has the same beliefs, so its ideal, i tried on a traditional pagan wedding dress after officially being together like 3 months.

I suppose then it's better that it wasn't a full commitment hun *hugs*

Shame.. I want to do the pagan ceromony with my OH.. It just seems the right thing to do. But I'd prob do it off the books.

What do you mean?

Well, we were doing it the traditional way, so had to stick to the old rules in my mind, im pleased i did now.

Still, was a beautiful ceremony if i do say so myself, lol xx

But a handfasting is a marriage technically

If i get married, i dont want it to be a fake marriage, i want it to be official and im not worried about it effecting benefits and shit, that has nothing to do with anything in my eyes, i love my OH, and want to marry him, and have it official in both our eyes and the laws eyes.

Nexas wrote:

When you have one you do have a registrar there to officially marry you as well. That's...well, a little offensive I think.

I think it depends upon the person, some people have pagan ministers so-to-speak, to officiate the handfasting

Oh right, sorry Nex, i misunderstood there, lol. But yeah, there is a registrar type person to officiate it, so its all legal.

And i agree, a marriage is a marriage, and its official, and should be nothing less
