Well, I've pretty much said it - should I shave my pubes?

I've never done it - where should I start? (Apart from below the belt!)
i regularly shave mine but im thinking for getting it waxed now, though i bet it hurts. Only downside to shaving is that when it grows back, it itches espically if you have small undies or sit down alot. Though after a while you do get used to it. also a good tip for when your shaving, TRY to let the hair grow back every time as its easier to do that way and shave with the grain as much as possible though you might have to go against the grain a little. also make sure you moisturise well afterwards. i think thats pretty much it lol and its hard to shave near your leg so mind you dont cut yourself! id try using veet or something first as that would be alot easier.
My partner regularly shaves ‘down there’, not the whole pubic area but any hairs that appear on his shaft, his testicles, his perineum and around his arse. He trims the rest of his pubic hair and ensures there are no loose hairs by combing.
I love the way this looks as it means I can see his whole penis and it therefore looks even larger.
It is also makes the area look cleaner, more presentable and therefore more attractive. It makes giving him head even more enjoyable; I never find pubic hair stuck between my teeth anymore, I also far less often get hair in my eyes.
Removing all his pubic hair made him look somehow less masculine and I didn’t like him ‘bald’ but trimmed is great.

My partner and I like to keep in trim, do it regularly is about the best advice I can offer. As a male, it is only recently that I decided to undertake a spot of topiary on myself (taking a lead from the porn actors who all shave their shafts to enhance the illusion of greater length). There was a point several years back where I swore I'd never shave on a regular basis because of the upkeep and the potential for ingrown hairs (which are *extremely* painful down there), but I've been shaving for probably a couple of years now and I'm extremely happy with the results. I do take small breaks now and then out of sheer laziness, but only until I either get fed up with the hair that's coming back in or until my husband complains and tells me to go shave.
My advice would be:
1) Make sure you use a good shaving cream or gel. You want to get a nice smooth stroke and get it all in one go, or else you'll end up irritating the skin quickly.
2) If you're shaving for the first time or for the first time in a while, you'd be best off trimming the majority of the hair length off with either scissors or one of those electric razors with the adjustable blades and then shaving off the short hair that's left, otherewise you're going to get the razor all gunked up with the longer hair and make the whole experience miserable.
3) If you get what looks like it could be an ingrown hair coming in, take care of it as soon as possible. I use tweezers to open it up and then pluck the offending hair out before it gets nasty and painful. It doesn't happen too often (generally when I'm not using a sharp razor or I'm wearing really tight clothing right after shaving), but when it does it's not pleasant.
4) Use a sharp razor. A fresh razor is your friend when it comes to shaving the bits. You really don't want it snagging down there. Trust me.
O A SEX CHIMP If you do take the plunge I say the above advice is spot on about the scissors etc. But just you wait until your other half gets down there and kisses/licks your balls. You would not have believed how sensitive they become when freshly shaved. Don't mean to be course but you have to find out to know.
i always shave mine down to hollywood but i am curious about brazilian style but i dont know if i can through with getting it waxed at salon, not because it would hurt but the pure thing with getting our pussy out in front of them and getting in awkward positions i should imagine.
Ugh, I tried the Hollywood once and hated it. I think it looks bad on most women, but I seem to be in the minority there. There's no reason not to shave it all off if you want to try the look though, why would you need to get it waxed just to remove that extra bit of hair?

Ive trimmed/shaved/veeted. And found the best, and easiest method is by using a beard trimmer. It trims them down short but after a few days they grow to a good length. This stops the possiblity of ingrowing hairs and removes the need to be really careful, you still need to be sensible, rather than careful when using grade 0 tho. its whack whack whack and youre done. I dont like the look a hollywood gives me so i use the trimmer so its all there but just short. I do like it on girls tho, nothings worse than a hairy minge!!!

I shave all the time. I use mens razors, and i also pluck if i get an ingrowing heir.
I was waxed once (full, hollywood) and i loved it, but i got friction burns on the crease where my outer labia meet the thigh - the skin there's a bit thinner than elsewhere and it didn't like the repeated ripping of the wax.
Twas good for a while though!
I have waxed plucked and shaved, I have an epilator that plucks all the hair out, your not suposed to use it on your nether area but I find it gives me a nice long lasting result, it doesnt rip my skin and pulls out short hair, if I happen to have any hair that escaped epilator I tweese em out.

Obviously be careful and try not to nick yourself. There are lots of 'how to' guides on the web.
