This is a personal story that happened last week for me.
Lately having a few worries with my health and the current climate my head has been all over the place. While having sex last week, embarrassingly I couldnt maintain the erection.
This then snowballed into the vicious cycle of worry…why has it happened, is there something wrong, i cant satisfy my wife…which caused further issues with myself and I couldn’t maintain the erection every tine we has sex.
Immediately I rang my GP as I do have a minor heart issue so I was in for a full checkup to rule out things. My GP actually said that its nothing to be embarrassed about and that it happens to men of all ages, me being only 31 it was a worry.
I was prescribed Sildenafil…commonly known as Viagra. I took one on monday afternoon an hour before my wife came home. Went upstairs, put some porn on the TV, lit some scented candles and surprised her. I surprised myself too…my god we hadn’t gone 6 times since we first met.
Its a personal story which I don’t mind opening up about and that men should not be embarrassed about telling someone.
Glad to hear it’s doing the trick. As you rightly say a large part of the problem is mental (performance anxiety) although it can be a medical problem too. It started to happen to me in my 50’s so I saw my GP and, after testing, it turned out that my testosterone level was so low it was almost off the scale. He treated it with a hormone replacement gel but I still needed the sildanafil to get my head in the right place and my confidence back.
Indeed it is mental. My GP also said it can happen to men of any ages and he has had men of 18 and 19 with it too. I just think its a breath of fresh air to open up about it and reduce the stigma.
With me it is mental…it happened once and you just put so much pressure on yourself for it not to happen again.
A cock ring is also worth considering it keeps you hard and you can last longer, even staying hard for seconds and thirds if it vibrates your OH gets the added benefits and there are no drugs involved. I have tried viagra for recreational purposes but the down side for me was a bad headache
Side effect wise I just felt a little hot and flushed but not sure if that was caused by going at it like rabbits for 3 hours and still remaining solid.
It’s not something I would recommend purely for recreational use. There are side effects with this as with any medication and it’s not advised for people with certain medical conditions.
As Rockstar said…on the medication sheet it can have some serious interactions with certain medication such as nitrates as it dilates blood vessels. Its best to have it prescribed so at least you know you are okay to take it.
Anyone who has been given the ok to take any ED medication…please make sure that you try it 4 times at least before you think it’s not working… and to follow the instructions fully.
Usually empty stomach and no or limited amount of alcohol.
Any side effects need to be noted too as the strength can be upped or dropped.
Also you still need to have sexual stimulation… they do not fix or give you a sex drive.
NO viagra or cialis do not promote sex drives they work along with it…Im a tadalifil (cialis) rather then viagra due to the fack that it lasts a lot longer in your system than viagra and can work in the spur of the moment kinda deal…Plus I use it now because of my accident and it does the trick for me along with other things
20 mg of cialis is the top mg you should go though It will effect you blood levels and mood,can be used with alchohal but dont over due it PERIOD and be taken on an empty stomach also

Yes , often if there is no medical problem it is mental . Some basic things to concider are you in good shape ? Are you under great stress ? Often drinking or even over eating will effect your “staff of life” or if clipped " sport stick" . Been years since I tried Viagra with my Doctor’s blessing . Since each pill was $10 , no matter what size I was advised by friends to get 100mg pills and a pill cutter . I normally used 25mg but one time tried 50mg . My wife and I could have made a feature length porn film ! Too bad we did not get a measurement , I do believe that was as long and large as I have ever been , along with the first ejaculation was epic in volume and velocity .
I’ve never understood taking viagra, I’ve always wanted to try but never been confident enough as I’m not sure what it actually does for you, are you able to explain?
As apposed to what comedies indicate , you generally do not get an instant erection . It does open up blood vessels in general , allowing more blood flow . So you need to become arroused just as normal . For myself it made me harder than normal and quite possibly slightly longer and bigger . I believe I also produced a little more volume and velocity . For myself I also was ready to go in a much shorter time . A few of my friends that tried it did not have any results , I have no idea why . Hope that informs you somewhat .
I really do need to consult the doctor as i am suffering with ED. I just cannot get an erection. Not sure if its due to my MS or a heart attack I had 4 years ago and have been on tablets for since then. unable to have Sildenafi or Viagra I believe due to the heart tablets
