Lately I've been considering experiementing with things I haven't tried before. Like I'm going to buy my first butt plug soon, which will be a first. But I'm also considering things with bondage but I'm curious to know if it works well for solo play?
I have done bondage solo play many a time and it for me heightenes when i do play as bondage is something i throughly enjoy. Just make sure your aware of any risks and keep scissors handy etc

Can you elaborate on that?
I tie my legs open sometimes for solo play using our underbed restraint - haven't yet figured out a safe or easy way to tie my arms xx

There's plenty of safe and easy ways you could get the psychological thrill of bondage.
You can get some nice shibari rope and tie a body harness that doesn't involve restraining your arms or legs. You can add in a crotch rope for that element of stimulation or you can do a chest harness, rope panties, lots of things. You can wear it under clothing, you can wear it while you play, whatever floats your boat! You can insert a toy into the rope panties or crotch rope for extra fun, especially if you have a remote controlled one. Google image search 'self tie shibari harness' and the first image that shows up is a very easy to do one.
You can wear a collar, wrist or ankle restraints to have the feeling of being restrained/dominated. You don't have to be physically tied down to get in the mindset. Having nice, heavy leather cuffs is what works well for me because of the physical feeling of my limbs being weighted but obviously you don't have to buy expensive cuffs just for psychological play.

Your arms are restrained, but your hand can always reach the clip to unclip yourself (or should I say, make sure you can unclip yourself before doing this!). You don't even have to use a bedpost really, they can act as esseentially a pair of handcuffs.
Leg restraining is easilly done with whatever you have.
Umm...I can't think of anything else but yeah, my point is there's loads of safe ways to play with bondage solo :)
This may be a strange item, http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=33943 if you use it with a cord/rope etc running up your back tied round your neck whilst standing straight up,, if you then bend forward it will get pulled up as you bend, you could also tie it to any suitable anchor, if you do tie round your neck have some sissors handy just in case. Nipple/labia(inners or outers, outers can handle way more ) clamps then add some weights whilst standing, see how much you can take, weight/pinching effect?
Ive found a great way to do this is with a suction cup dildo. You can leave your hands free. Ive worn a ball gag and handcuffs whilst being bent over and suctioning it to the side of the bed. and Ive worn the ball gag and tied my legs to chair legs and basically sat on the chair whilst the dildo is suctioned to it. My partner isnt really into bondage so I sometimes have to have this private time ;)

It's obviously not as much fun as doing it with a partner.

To me solo play is often enhanced when i can visualize a past sexual experience so I do use my blindfolds solo so I can focus my senses on the feeling.
