Sweet Jesus! 😱

So last night I was washing my favourite we-vibe lipstick bullet vibrator in the bathroom sink with some soap and like a cartoon my toy literally shot out of my hands and done a kinda juggle dance in the air before making a splash down in the toilet! :toilet:

I was mortified… but managed to get a rubber glove on to retrieve it followed by soo much washing with fragrant soap, antibacterial hand soap, some bathroom dettol foamy spray stuff and hot water… I even left it to soak in soapy water, but I’m still paranoid about it having any germs on it or if it’s safe to use again after squirting the dettol foamy spray…

What would you guys do?!

Oh, that would be a tough one for me. I did the same thing with a sleeve but it was on the bathroom floor. Washed it twice afterward. I had to look up dettol spray

I would be afraid of the dettol spray damaging the toy itself. Hopefully someone here can help more than me!

Apart from napalm or nuking it with an atom bomb I think you’ve done all you can to sanitise it. It’s now just a case of if you feel safe using it! I take it the toilet water was untainted and only in there for a short time, if so the amount of soap sprays and bleach based products you have thrown at it would not cause me concern. I would however give it time to dry out and give it a period of a week or so to see if anything changes.

I would have thought that the action taken with the washing and the use of dettol would have cleaned it, though dettol will only ever say that kills 99% of germs to prevent legal claims.

It is I think, more whether you can bring yourself to use it again knowing where it has been.

I am absolutely certain that you have thoroughly antibac’d it and it is perfectly safe to use again!

I would point out that butt plugs and anal dildos are exposed to exactly the same bacteria in their regular use as anything your bullet is likely to have met in it’s accidental toilet ducking. You’ve thoroughly cleaned it, therefore, do not worry.

Edited twice for poor grammar :woman_facepalming:t2:

Sounds to me like its cleaner then when it first came out of its packet brand new.

I think youve washed it fully, was the toilet clean. Or did it have pee and poop in it???

If it was clean youve fully disinfectant it away you go but if your feeling no way, get online to your favorite online lovehoney and repurchase it

I’m with @JGood on this one. Having read everything your beloved bullet has been through, my first thought was ā€œI mean a 100-kiloton might do it?ā€. so great minds think alike (or are simpatico again Sir  ). I don’t know the Dettol bathroom cleaner, I use Flash, but I do use Dettol antibacterial spray on most everyday surfaces (and Dettol wipes sometimes, for conveniece when I’m away camping etc) so if I know one thing to be true of Dettol, your lipstick vibe is now likely squeaky clean. Provided your bathroom is cleaned regularly, I wouldn’t worry too much at all. You didn’t leave it to soak or anything, so you should be all clean and good to go. However, if you’re worried, a quick blast and wipe with Dettol antibacterial spray should help allay any fears  have fun!

That’s what I’m worried about as the main part of the toy is plastic so the spray should be fine but the base with the buttons is silicone and I’m not sure if it could absorb germs or the spray chemicals making it not good to use again :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Haha yes thankfully the toilet water was clean clear! :hear_no_evil_monkey:
But indeed I’ll give it a week or so to see if it changes or goes funky.

That’s the thought space I’m in currently and would feel so much happier if I had one them germ lights to see if it’s all clean!

That is actually a very good point! I kinda feel a little better about it now although I’m still worried about having put the dettol spray on it incase it’s either damaged or could have an effect on me if I use it again…

Oh I can imagine it probably is by now  but after putting this foamy bathroom dettol on it, would it be ok to stick up the bum?! I have of course washed it after with more soapy water to hopefully remove any residue

The toilet was clean thank goodness! Otherwise I’d have done the silly thing of flushing ma toy away :face_with_peeking_eye:

Annoyingly it’s not a cheap toy to just replace so am undecided if I could bring myself to use it again…

Where would I even get a 100 kiloton from!

Think I might leave it to air a week and then clean again with dettol spray and soap for extra protection

From Google when asked, ā€œis it safe to use dettol foam spray on silicone toys?ā€:

Silicone is generally resistant to most cleaning agents and disinfectants, so Dettol foam spray should not cause any damage. Dettol products are generally considered safe for use on children’s equipment and surfaces, as they are designed to kill germs without being harsh on materials.

As long as you rinsed it off afterwards, you are completely safe. I suspect it is cleaner now than it has been on any other occassion you have used it.
Enjoy your Tango!

Well my question would be, if you put your mouth to other people’s privates, I wouldn’t be worried too much and you have cleaned it very well.

If you don’t and that’s not your thing, I would probably replace it, if it’s going to cause worry. Just to keep your mind at rest.

You had a lot of consistently good advice from many here what @Tenshadesandme conveniently forgot to say and I’m guessing at this is she knows a guy with a device to give you an instant suntan.
