We are fast approaching the official launch date for The Great Hump Day Quiz (:dromedary_camel::tada:), and I thought I’d ask when people would prefer it be posted. I can do Tuesday evening (Hump Day Eve) , running all day Hump Day, and then answers Hump Day night; or I could do it Hump Day morning, and answers on Boxing Hump?

Any preference?

No preference, whatever suits you.

In my defence, in the Iliad, Aphrodite’s parents are Zeus and Dione so I discounted her :woman_shrugging:t2:.

A Google tells me she has two totally different genealogies but yours is apparently more common. I have never heard of it but it’s certainly a better story!

Otherwise, generous marking, thanks muchly and I enjoyed it.

@Ian_Chimp my preference is Hump Day morning quiz and answers on Boxing Hump please

The Great Hump Day Quiz! :tada::dromedary_camel:
(07/10/20)

Where do the questions come from?

I found a mysterious old box of trivial pursuit, with even more trivial pursuits stuffed inside. It is a treasure trove of quiz questions, and all of them really old. :slightly_smiling_face: Perfect fodder for a Hump Day special. :+1:

Piecing together a few bits and bobs, there were three sets, and a couple of the instructions. One is a Genus Edition, dated 2001, and the other the 20th Anniversary one, 2004. There’s also another old style board and questions in there that looks/smells quite a bit older. That’s the box they’re all stuffed in, and that has ©1983 printed on it. No instructions, so not sure if that’s accurate. That one says it’s a Master Game Genus Edition.

So, there you go. It’s a bit random, but it should add to the fun. :slightly_smiling_face:

I picked these especially for the Science ones. I knew very few of them. :slightly_smiling_face: I think these may have been the 5 most science-y ones out of about 2000 cards, so you might want to start brushing up on your maths and ‘Innovation’ skills… :slightly_smiling_face:
