But isn’t Ocenania is just an alternate name for that continent though? I thought Australia was a subcontinent like India
A couple of yours are going to have to be adjudicated. Two answers for the continent one seems like you’re chancing it. And directions but no name to the church.
Nope. Give it a google.
I did, google has things saying both confusing me more
Google is normally pretty solid on geography. The answers are up tomorrow morning, so we can all debate openly then.
I hasten to add that I did not write these questions, and I think some are from 1983, so there will be a few odd ones over the course of it. I’m not sure this question is one of them, but I don’t mind correcting scores if you prove the card wrong.
I have many arguments i will keep for now Though for example you mentioned Oceania as a separate thing. I don’t see how both Oceania and Australia can be continents as it would mean there were 8 not 7 - otherwise it’s saying New Zealand is in Asia which i think both sides would disagree with Sorry i think I’m missing seeing people in person to argue with
To be honest, I don’t know. It seems like the answer has changed since I was at school. I think that’s the only possible answer that would fit though?
Remember that the questions are all super old. Have you read the ‘Where do the questions come from?’ blurb in the quiz post?
Yeah i remember, sorry like i said i think my brain just misses arguing so has latched on to this i get what you mean though, nothing quite fits (like my answer doesn’t actually count as country)

You may pick up some half points when someone explains the answers to me.

Gossshhhhhh I did not do well in this week’s
Googling continental plates map will do your head in.
Oh I’m 3rd this week, leave the answers as they are.
I have added the answers to the Quiz post
How am I marking Blue 2? Australia doesn’t seem exactly right, but Antarctica isn’t a country?
And is the church @MsSubExperimenter describes the one named in the answers?
Any marking advice greatly appreciated.
@Ian_Chimp wiki says this: “This article is about the church in Bow, Tower Hamlets. For the City of London church with the famous bells, see [St. Mary-le-Bow]”
So although my answer was a church in Bow, not the right one (which is apparently in Cheapside)
(Yes I know I’m talking myself out of a point )
That makes things easier.
For Blue 2 I think I’ll give 1 point for Australia, and a ½ for Antarctica. (and a ½ of you chanced it and put two answers in )
I have adjusted the marks, but it made no difference to the scoreboard over all.
I do declare this week’s winner to be…
Whooo well done @WillC
Thank you as always @Ian_Chimp for being the host with the most
