Blast it all. Managed to avoid covid all this time and now someone in the house has tested positive and i think i might have it too. Had concert tickets for tomorrow as well that ive been looking forward to going to for months :sob:

Crappy timing! I avoided it for a long, long time and was a little worried when I did get it due to other health issues but I think this later strain is a lot less aggressive than the original and I only had very mild symptons for a few days. Fingers crossed you’re the same :crossed_fingers:

Oh no, that’s rubbish. I hope you don’t get too ill with it. As for the concert, obviously don’t go if you’re too ill but if you’re feeling ok then you can still go. We have to go to work if we have covid unless we have a fever or are too unwell to go in, (in other words treat it like a cold) so I guess it’s up to you whether you want to go or not. I know we all have different opinions on covid now but guidelines seem to be that it’s to be treated similar to a cold or flu rather than having specific rules because it’s covid.

I was catching a lift with friends who i really dont want to risk giving it to. The concert is standing, so there wont be much elbow room. Not worth it personally. Id feel dreadful if i gave it to someone else.

Same as you @Peitho. Been trying not to get is as ive got m.e/c.f.s so my immune system can be a tad hit or miss at times.

That’s sensible, if you’re feeling a bit rough then standing probably wont be very nice for you either. I have cfs too and was worried about catching it for the same reason as you, thankfully i got away with very mild symptoms when i caught it. I hope you are feeling better soon xx

Ditto. After the first jab i was ill for a month. But the subsequent ones have been better so im cautiously optimistic :crossed_fingers: just getting over a cold too so it doesn’t improve my chances of not catching it sadly.
