I hate it when that happens. One minute they’re there, the next minute they’re gone :woman_shrugging:t2::face_with_hand_over_mouth:

@JoCat no it wasn’t. In 23 years (maybe even 25 as i can’t remember) on the road I’ve had some ballaching days and that one was up there with the best of em…
Only trouble is due to tachograph laws it completely bollocks’d up the rest of my week :person_facepalming:t2::person_facepalming:t2::person_facepalming:t2:

I had to google tachograph to make sure it’s what I thought it was. It’s good in a way, but I get that you’d want to get going to catch up.
I absolutely wouldn’t have the patience for your job, the waiting would infuriate me! Hope today is much better for you @pootle

Crickey that’s a long day @pootle mate :slightly_frowning_face:

@Knight1119 we can do upto 15hrs 3 times a week and a maximum of 84hrs a week legally!!! @JoCat reading the tachograph laws is a sure fire way to fall asleep :rofl::rofl:

@daddycool1979.mw - Wow, just wow. Your reptiles are fantastic! Great photos of the snakes too.

Hope you are soon feeling yourself again soon and feeling much better too !   :slightly_smiling_face: :upside_down_face: :slightly_smiling_face: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

@RacyRosalee, I used to struggle with the clips on suspender belts too. I now attach the stockings to the suspenders before putting the stockings on which makes everything so much easier! If you’re careful you can also hand wash the stockings whilst still attached to the belt and once dry they’re ready to go again. I’m not sure if you’ve already tried this but i thought I’d mention it because it took me years to realise I could do this and i thought it might help you too.

@Kitty-Cat01, thanks for your suggestion, I already attach the garters/suspenders before putting the stockings on, because as you mention, it’s way easier. However, it’s still not very accessible in regards to the actual clip style, especially depending on people’s level of fine motor skills, or issues with their hands/fingers.

The motion and constant fiddling to try and attach/fix them is what causes my fingers to flare with fibro, and causes an awful, burning sensation throughout the muscles. Attaching them before wear unfortunately doesn’t change this, as it’s the clip’s design that’s the issue. I only attached 2 of 4 clips for my photos, and just doing those are enough to cause a flare.

Ah, that makes sense. Sorry, my suggestion isn’t going to be helpful then :woman_facepalming: My difficulties were very different to yours. I simply struggled with fatigue whilst trying to bend around to do up fiddly clasps.

Don’t apologise! It’s still a good suggestion, I appreciate you taking the time to try and help  And I’m sure someone scrolling by will definitely appreciate the tip, because getting those back clasps on standing up? Absolutely not :joy:

There seem to be so many people going through things at the moment, it is hard to keep track of who I’ve sent virtual hugs and who I haven’t. So, for everyone in the wars at the moment, I’m thinking of you all and trying to send good wishes. You’re all an amazing bunch xx

Popping into the lounge to ask for a little bit of input… My best friend has just had a baby (last night!) and I’m wondering what to get her for Christmas. Is there anything that a new mum would really appreciate that maybe she hasn’t got already? Any ideas welcome!

Maybe an offer of a couple of hours housework/keeping the baby so she can take some time to relax? (Maybe with some chocolates/face/foot mask type stuff)

Something for her. Definitely not something for the baby. She’ll have loads of that

My best friend as just had a baby and I got her a big bottle of vodka :joy:

Last time I did a hamper with pjs, face mask, bottle of wine and bath bits.

I don’t do newborn baby gifts for friends as you literally have everything you could possibly need. Where the mum is still wearing the same pjs for 5 days straight.
