Honestly some of the questions are so long that we’ve forgotten the start by the time Paxman gets to end! The University of Life is the best education there is, I’ve learnt more through watching tv, reading books etc than I ever did at school :slightly_smiling_face:

If they’re repeats of recent ones that’s fine as I won’t have seen them. Watched one with my parents pre latest lockdown and was surprised at the new noone gets eliminated but a chance to add money round back to the style they had years ago in the first round of total guess and hope for a pointless answer.

@wildflower my usual aim on University Challenge is about 3 correct answers total but you do feel good when you get a correct answer. Not watched it for a while though, I think I prefer the fun in Pointless and Only Connect.

I love Mastermind too, their chosen subjects aren’t usually a lot of interest but the general knowledge bit is good.

@Peitho Yes, especially if you get the answer that neither teams gets right!

Yes - Love the Mastermind General Knowledge rounds and occasionally you’re pleasantly surprised by a specialist subject you know something about… generally best to tune in half way through though :rofl:

Don’t think that’s ever happened to me on University Challenge… Have got a couple of Egghead final round questions that none of the Eggheads knew though and that’s always an ego boost!
