If you see something you think is inappropriate pop a little flag in it. It goes in a list for Brenna to look at, but it also counts how many flags a post is getting. The TL3/TL2 stuff also weighs in, so if enough TL3/TL2s pop a flag in it then that triggers a ‘hide message’ until Brenna gets a chance to review it.
ETA: The message can be un-hidden if the poster edits it. There’s a 10 minute ‘reflection’ delay, so no-one writes anything worse. If it gets re-flagged than it’ll stay hidden until a mod checks it.
It’s in the Flag box. If you click the in a post it should give you four options:
I’ve flagged if I think women members are being denigrated (those are the ones I have noticed) or if overly sexual stereotypes are being used No place for that here.
Of the 4 options I’ve clicked the ‘inappropriate’ option.
Thanks for letting me know about the ‘Something Else’ - I didn’t know I could add details.
Hope nothing comes to that
@MsR just in case it helps I think this might have been a typo in Gazza’s 2nd messge? “Fit in fine” (which is what I thought it said when I read it quickly) makes a lot of sense in response to
Not at all, as it’s written it can be interpreted different ways! Flagging things if you’re concerned is important, and much better to say than not - thank you for being protective of people
I have a technical emoji question for @Ian_Chimp and/or anyone else that cares to comment…
This emoji, the puzzle piece(s) , in my list and preview it comes out as a single orange piece but when I post is two blue/green pieces. Really not a big deal and a lot of emojis post slightly differently to how they preview, but I noticed in the quiz topic that when @Ian_Chimp posted presumably the same emoji that it appeared as a orange solo piece and I wondered how/why?
Maybe? I’m afraid I have no idea. I only use my Android phone though but I just assumed it was something to do with the forum background coding that dictated which form the emojis appear in and then when this one showed differently depending on who posted it confused me
I’m on android too (Android 9). Those puzzle pieces are 2 blue and green ones on my phone. Sometimes I pick an emoji and a slightly different version appears after I post. Same for WhatsApp too.
Yes, in my link to your post blue/green pieces again but in your original orange singular piece. As I say, not exactly important but my brain wants to know why!
ETA All in your post above blue/green maybe it’s something to do with your wrapping formatting for hidden text?
