Leave a blank line before and after your div line and the link and picture will show correctly, and centred inbetween . Also, you had left a space in the link between the square and round brackets. With these changes it looks like this:
I canāt believe I have such a learning curve involved when this is what I used to do for a living. Is there a way you can show me the source code you used to show that image and link? I think I have the rest of it figured.
@Ian_Chimp your knowledge of coding is very impressive but you have shared so many tips and suggestions I canāt keep track of it all. Part of what is messing me up here is the way this message board combines both bulletin board code and HTML. Pick one or the other and I know what I am doing. Going to play around with this some more this weekend to see if I can post one of those slick looking reviews in the My Reviews thread.
Yeah, itās mainly Markdown, but you can use a few bits of HTML and BBCode too if youāre feeling adventurous. Not everything is supported, but thereās enough of the basics to add a bit of flavour to your posts when you need it.
The main tip is that markdown and HTML donāt like to touch each other, but if you leave a bit of breathing space you can often mix both into the same post.
I know I have seen the answer to this somewhere else but if I see a really nicely formatted post, how can I view the source code for it? If I can do that, I could just copy and paste the post then change the content. Unfortunately the search function leaves much to be desired for this type of inquiry.
LOLā¦ no worries. Once I get this all figured out I will have some slick reviews. Itās just frustrating for me because I used to do this stuff for a living but this message board works very differently than what I know. Totally respect @Ian_Chimp 's patience at pointing out the info I requested was already posted to the same damn thread I asked in. Feeling 'tupid right now.
Sorry, only just seen your post, you may have already got there?
If not, just pick the right duckā¦ once youāve picked your duck, give it a little stroke (or a second click) to see what happens. The right duck will take you somewhere exciting where you just need to add your nameā¦ happy hunting!
