The Sandbox

 Love it, very cute! I’m quite happy to be used as a test case.

Do they wrap automatically into a grid now if you upload more than one image or does it need the square bracket grid wrappings at the start and end of the image postings? I’ll have a play tomorrow evening.

Cancel the question, I see you already answered it! I’ll still have a play tomorrow :+1:

Ummm… apparently don’t post images in ā€œThe Sandboxā€ thread to test. LOL

Images from the website are still fine to post in the sandbox :+1::rofl:

Yep, I get that but nothing can be downloaded from the LH website that is so large you need to scroll sideways to view the full image. That was the whole basis of my test. What happens if I upload a monster image that I hadn’t cropped and resized? I apparently just choose the wrong forum to test it with. Either way, all good. I know how uploads work now.

Couldn’t resist playing now, lol. Not quite sure what the downloading issue is @be3169 , they download on both my phone and laptop for me :woman_shrugging:t2:

Anyway, to make use of the Sandbox. My personal favourites…

Dear Lord, I forgot my top wand and it even had an outing this evening!

Seems to work though I had to add the grid wraps by hand… also means more than 5 photos per post is permissible (if the preview is to be believed!)

ETA It is to be believed! :tada:

I re-read the instructions… It is indeed a manually added thing and won’t happen automatically.

Beautiful post BTW. It’s not a download issue I was referring to. Take a photo with a high end phone or digital camera and the image size is huge. What I originally wanted to know was if I had to crop and resize before upload or if the upload process would resize automatically. Now I know they all get posted as the same size regardless of the original file size. All good.

Thanks for all the help @Peithro .

Ah, gotcha. Yeh, I think all Discourse forums (of which LH is one) handle images in the same way. If you upload a very small photo, it won’t make it bigger to fit but anything large will be fitted to the correct width. For neatness of if you want to edit photo placement though you can dictate the size they appear when you upload them to make them smaller. For example, in the My Reviews thread, most of us (though it is absolutely not necessary!!!) centre and reduce the displayed image size of the product being reviewed in the post. (E.g. My review of Nico’s bondage clip)

LMAO! You bought a supposed sex toy for your horse?

Yep - Worked perfectly :+1::rofl:

The clip is still in good working order and he used it until Autumn '23 when the waterproofing started to fail on the rug so I got him a new one… maybe I should have explored latex spray or some sort of vinyl bedsheet patches first? :joy: The clip is available if ever needed on his new rug though.

So… a couple spreader bars and ā€œhoofā€ cuffs are next?

Sorry, just find this really funny. My local feed shop has the double clip snap hooks.

Shackles, you mean? I’ll pass as our field fencing is pretty good :+1:.

Our feed store doesn’t sell them and being on offer at 50% off at the time and back in the days of free postage on any order for Unlimited customers it was cheaper to get him the Bondage Boutique one… not to mention, I really, really enjoyed writing that review!

LOL… that’s great! Love it.

@Peitho … could you point me to the instructions on how to do a photo spread like you posted please?

I just followed @Ian_Chimp 's instructions here. I think this is a new feature so I’d not used it before. Basically, just upload the photos in the normal way, I just put one per line, but the line before write grid in square brackets and forwardslashgrid in square brackets afterwards and it will neatly fit them into a group for you. I used two separate grid wrap commands for the two 5 picture and 3 picture grids.

Perfect, thanks. Bookmarked for first try next weekend.

Oh… one last question. Will the grid automatically wrap to the next line once images are displayed across the screen or do I post three then have a return break?

It will sort out the display if you use the grid wrap :+1:. Try it here (with LH images ).

Just testing a multi-quote to see if it works.

Testing a template provided in another thread…

Upload/paste the Lovehoney product image here.

Big Kahuna

Big long description of how lovely the plain brown shipping box was followed by a gratuitous explanation of my sex life. Oh, I also actually used the toy. I am just testing here and allowed to be factious.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Pros: No allergic reaction

Cons: I had to pay for it

Bottom Line: My bottom is actually getting saggy these days

  • There will be multiple edits to this post until I get the formatting figured out. Nothing but a test going on here.
  • Friggin frackin fruckin… I will get this figured one day.
