Toy battery dies mid session

Don’t you guys hate it when you are 10 mins in with your fave rabbit and you know you’ve used it a couple of times but you have so many toys you aren’t actually sure when last you charged it and it dies mid session as you’re almost there?

Uuuuggh!

Anywa. rant over.. anyone else have any stories?

After cleaning a toy, I have a bad habit of putting it straight on charge (it’s probably not great for the batteries in them) but then at least I’m never left without power when I go to use them

Hello and welcome,

Similar to @Stacy2, I have a “charging drawer” so mine just… don’t get to die. Though having said that, one of my top loves has replaceable batteries.

There used to be a thread on here by @Ian_Chimp .

It was a monthly reminder to clean and charge your toys. I can honestly say, it’s one of th3 bes5 things I saw on here and still stick to it today. First sat of every month.

Clean them, dry them, charge them, tidy up the storage.

That little trick has meant all of our toys never run out of battery.

Obviously there are toys that may need an extra charge in the month, but generally speaking, this horror hasn’t happened to us in years.

Clean once a month? I clean them everytime.

The thought of mopping the floors more often than I clean my toys gives me the ick.

If they are used, they get cleaned, just like extra charging.

It was more the ones that gather dust or the occasional accidental drop of lube etc.

The reminder was more about all your toys being ready to use, rather than the regular ones.

@Bonzo2020 I’m glad you explained this more. I thought you meant the same as @Tenshadesandme. I guess it also depends how often you use the toys. Mine would be flat every 3 days if I didn’t do them after each use

Ooh I see! I thought you meant all of them, hence the “wait, what?” reaction :joy:

Glad it’s not just me who was a bit confused :joy:

Lol. We deffo need to get some sort of routine going for charging. We have 10+ too so it’s a lot. We dont have enough plug points in the house

For charging toys set a easy to remember date to put less frequent used toys on charge, it could be a date when your bills come out, or when wages come in.

nnYAAAAAGHHHH!!!

My pet peeve is charging cables. Surely to god there can be a standard! Like why can’t the magnetic ones all be the same dimensions?

@I_ll_try_anything or at least a universal charging station/dock. All sizes of pin dimensions and magnetic connections. If someone created one, I’d buy it instantly - take my money :slightly_smiling_face:

The ultimate battery curse! This has happened to me before too

In a way, it is all of them.

Every toy gets a deep clean and full charge 1st Saturday of every month, even if they were charged that week or not used that month.

If a toy is used in between, it’s dealt with after use.

But my original point is that, by following that thread on here, I’ve never had a battery run out on me again.

Here it is:

In my head I can still hear the topic title as a jingle.

But yeah, don’t leave your used toys for a month before cleaning them. That might get a bit ranky manky. :grimacing:
