Currently sat in the drivers waiting room in Dagenham at one of the big four supermarket distribution centres because apparently the populace of the UK didn’t buy enough food in the run up to Christmas!!!

I swear some people food shop out of habit or for recreational purposes! I work in retail and the day after Boxing Day there were people queuing to get in at 8am!
It’s almost as if fridges and freezers haven’t been invented!

@Tenshadesandme surprised that series is still going and it says a lot more about me when the series wasn’t my first thought.:face_with_peeking_eye:

@KinkyMira just what the Dr Hubby ordered, I’m confident he’ll check your temperature later too as you don’t want to relapse into the lurgy.

I’m currently depleting the supermarket of butter for emergency cake baking.

Sat under a blanket with hubby and watching murdered for revenge.

I think it’s repeats but I watch it namely for the home inspiration. I’m a perisher for taking home innovative ideas

Emergency cake baking? One does nof need an emergency to bake cakes, just will and desire.

Too bad a carrot cake wouldn’t travel well :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

TV watching didn’t go to plan anyway, we cuddled up and snoozed. Not a bad way to spend New Year’s Day

Currently reading ‘pucking wild’ by emily rath. Anyone else read this series? This is the second of 3 books, full of hocky players and sex, leaves the imagination running wild and somewhere else quite damp :sweat_drops::face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Thank you,
I made it back unscathed!!!

It’s bloody ridiculous, how did we manage years ago!!!
The volume of stock we were moving from the 20th almost broke us physically and mentally!!!

I went to see the state of our local supermarket and it seemed like most of the town had descended upon it.

It’s scary to think we can survive a day without the replenishment of food stocks.

You are one of the many unsung that help keep us going.

Just remembered…last year on Boxing Day i drove past Farmfoods on the way to relatives. It was open and there were people going in with trolleys. Isn’t the point of Farmfoods that most of their products are frozen and priced to fill freezers? :joy:
