What car do you drive?

Farmer. Hence the 4x4’s and massive tractors.

Hi @WillC

In just about any other setting, I’d be happy to answer this with detailed chat on a subject I’ve studied closely (both personally and academically) for pretty much my whole adult life! I can talk happily about this question for days.

I can’t work out how to answer this though, because the topic always, always inevitably leads to a political discussion. With respect to everyone’s individual views (they usually come with the best intentions), transport & energy policy is a highly contentious political ‘wedge issue’ that has enormous potential to divide people.

So I’ve decided to stay well away from this one! :zipper_mouth_face:

I think the thread in general is fun though, and I totally love hearing about what other people drive, and the pleasure it brings them. Not much sexier sounding than a big 'ol, naturally aspirated V8 engine, to my ears! I do also think electric and hybrid cars can be sexy, though in totally different ways.

The lease on my Golf ended in May. I now work from home full time, my partner only works from the office 2-3 days a week, so we decided to go down to one car.

So now we just have the Tiguan, and really enjoying being £300+ a month better off, especially with bills and grocery costs all going up.

I will get another car eventually, really fancy a modern classic, something from late 90’s to early 00’s.

Got rid of my Ranger last year and replaced with a VW Amarok. Just a bit more luxury and a few more toys than the Ranger.

Currently have a Mercedes E220d estate, basically a posh van! Waiting for a Polestar 2, which should arrive around the end of the year.

Local run-around is Fiat 500 mild hybrid.

Would love a toy car and have been considering a two-door classic soft-top for a while now.
