Aww, if course I've read your posts about the 'soon to be in-laws' before but my memory is absolutely shocking. Lol! I do remember loads of stuff, youve had alot to deal with exams (and you worked harder than most because of reading i think it is?) But youd never know it, your writing seems immaculate to me, i wish i had your writing skills as mine is rubbish lol 😂 then theres been family etc. I can think of other stuff too. But these are reasons why your wedding is going to bring you so much joy and comfort. You're starting your own family now and you'll see how you treat yours and feel the loving bonds etc, its going to be incredible. Youve worked really hard so too right get oh to get his act together and join the fun 😊. Are you going to give up your sirname? Your near in-laws sound lovely folk from last posts. Oh totally it's about you and oh declaring your love, making those cherished vows, not a group of onlookers there for the after party. Lol 😂😂 Fifty odd isn't too bad but would be too much for us. Just make sure nobody tries to take over (parents think its their job)! and make sure you have everything you both want and deserve 😊 i know some folk think it's selfish but they're the selfish ones in my eyes for not understanding. Lol, apart from immediate family of course. I can tell you would be at home here, and it's great to plan for the future. There's alot of families who move here because they love it so much. It really warned my heart reading your post. I thought 'this lass has a piece of Scotland in her heart ❤ 😊 There's lots of places in England and Wales I love, I'm not trying to be biased home is where the heart is. I love the city's for shoppingg especially the prices! Also love seeing so many different cultures, it's great. Liverpool and Newcastle are great but so is devon, as is Cornwall. Lol, I'm rambling again here! Sounds as though you've got it all planned with the right brutal attitude which is needed and big bonus the place is small so you can't have many guests 😂 that's class you've planned well. I'm starting to wonder how much planning you've done? 😊 It won't ruin anything not in my experience, I was just like you but we had decided to do it so had limited time *3 weeks) and i didn't have anything booked/organised or bought for the wedding. Lol) Even so, all the planning and preparation was awesome and I'm bad at that stuff usually, but I took all of it on arranged practically everything and enjoyed it. Oh is terribly unorganized lol but he planned and sorted a few romantic things which are so precious 😊 So it's going to be great even if you plan and choose everything. Maybe you should start a thread? I could speak wedding constant. Lol! I'd you'd maybe prefer waiting until you get that rock 😀 I'm sooo wanting to quiz you about everything but don't want to jog the thread 😯 Thinking about putting my wedding dress on and getting dolled up later 😂 yes I still do it every few months, I'm not sure anyone else on the planet does that but each to their own 😊 It's going to be awesome planning your future too, you've got your head screwed on I can tell because the exams are done, the planning out in us evident and i think you think things out really well ☺ It's ashame you couldn't move and bring them up sooner but family is the most important thing in the world. I'd imagine they would love being in a granny anex with you and oh. I'm terrible at writing but much worse at reading, I have to read something 20 times before I know what it says. But I just keep plodding on lol I can't wait to start our own family, we talk about our parenting style so much, I know things will always change when it happens but we're on the same page and have a clear image of how we want to raise our child. I'm definitely taking his surname, I'm the only one of my immediate family with mine anyway and I'm not particularly attached to my family. I love his family and really look forward to having the same name as them :) 3 weeks?! How did you manage that? I'd have a nervous breakdown lol I think I'd take a few months, it all depends on how it takes him to propose though lol I really want to get married on our anniversary in September so it probably won't be until next year :( but a winter wedding would also be lovely with the snow :) We love how much wild space there is, just walking through woods and not seeing evidence of people, we went walking along a lock and jasmine loved the shellfish-think they were mussels? We stayed in a cabin in the woods and it was just so calming how dark and quiet it was :) I might start a thread when we're engaged, it'll seem a bit less insane then! Lol I love anything wedding, I'm so excited, nothing will be geared towards our guests, just checked again and the room serves 35 which is probably perfect :) we might have a few more at the after party but only those were actually close to instead of just everyone were related to, we're not having a bridal party either, OH will have a best man and we want pups bit that's it. I'm so excited for our future, there's so much I want to do but I want to do it all now lol I love that you still wear your dress, I think I'd wear it on our anniversary and I love the idea of my daughter wearing it. My family will be a nightmare when we're engaged and I'm planning a wedding never mind planning it now so it's nice to have someone to talk to about it :) you've made me feel much less insane for planning my wedding before I'm even engaged :) I've looked at dresses and chosen a few I like but haven't chosen a specific one, I think OH will come dress shopping with me, don't trust anyone else to not make it about them and I want him to have a say, there's no pointment me choosing a dress I love and him nit like it, as long as he thinks I look nice I'll feel gorgeous. And we've agreed he gets to have a nice expensive suit, and I think I'll treat him to a mont blanc watch :) OH said today that we should go back to Scotland and I just brushed it off quickly, I'm so excited to tell him I've booked it for his birthday, I'm terrible at keeping surprises lol he's gonna love it so much!
Aww, this is so exciting hunni, i can't keep secret to save myself! 😂 Will you manage to keep it a birthday surprise? You did super well brushing it off, i wonder if he's fishing? Trying to read your thoughts and plans? I'm glad you both love it here. It's super secluded where we stay a little village which is perfect, everyone looks out for each other and your kids can't hide ought as it'll get back to you. Lol. My nephew had taken off the other day down the harbour but it got to his mom and dad within minitues and he was home grounded in no time. Lol. Reading your post really makes me smile, i don't know if you're in the a populated or rural place right now but you belong in a secluded place for sure. I lived in a village in Wales for awhile which was lovely, but without details it wasn't the same, the people and the area just wasn't home. I've stayed in several places in England which were really great, England is my second home I've spent so much time there I really have great friends and alot of family there, and Wales and here and in alot of different places of the world. I had a feeling you'd be going with the name change, it makes total sense to me. You're going to make your own family you and oh, and the names a great starting block 😄 Awesome that you're really close with ohs parents, same here which helps as my folks are in a different location, so it's nice to have second parents. I bet your ohs folks will be the happiest ever to find out your marrying their son 😊 you have a fantastic head on your shoulders I love how much planning and effort you put into everything. Oh well with our wedding we'd been engaged for 6 years 😂 and wanted to get married asap but this and that happened, time went by and before we know it we're in this long term engagement. So when things calmed down, life you know? We had a chat (we always knew it would be Gretna though) and it turned out that someone saw us looking for wedding dresses so we had to do it quick style. Turns out that it had got all around the place that we're having a baby and running off to get married 😂😂 It was half true but the baby was a guess, wish it was true though 😀 but that's a chapter id day - watch this space 😃😃 Any way back to wedding chat. The only thing that was a stress was the dress (yeah quite a big thing I know!) But we couldn't get one that was perfect anywhere! Had to travel half the country and in the end bought two as I couldn't decide 😂😂 so there's two wedding dresses one that has only ever been tried on the other has had its money's worth. Lol 😆 Oh that walk sounds divine, threy would be shellfish-muscles along the shore. I'm not 100% but imagine they'd be the same at the lock. Just asked oh and he just agreed lol but no convincingly, so wouldn't like to be wrong. The wildlife is incredible, if you like birds there are lots of kytes, buzzards and kesterals and even eagles and more. You get folk taking their birds of prey out to fly, they're glorious creatures and magnificent hunters which fascinate me! The fish and meet is so nice too because it's all local produce so you taste the difference to buying from the supermarkets (again expensive but very worthwhile.) Oooh 35 sounds alot less daunting (to me) just my crazy way of thinking though. Lol. Oh i totally agree the people at your wedding should be there because they love, care about you and want to see this amazing day you and you oh take those vows 😊 You'd never know you're bad at writing I find your dialogue perfect. Mines bad so obviously I wouldn't be able to notice little errors (I've neveranything by the way,) I'm refering to mines in comparison. Lol. It's actually strange because at school I was in the top groups until my concentration span vanished and i prioritised other stuff, work where i knew no qualifications were required. I forgot about the Maldives - shame on me I know! Thsts going to be the honeymoon of all honeymoons 😄 such a beautiful location for a romantic get away 😊 I'm going to cut this as I've just checked the clock and I've been typing this for 40 odd minitues! But it's brilliant that you know exactly what you want for your children, wedding, grandparents and the future 😊 stay proud and don't let anyone burst your bubble. You've an amazing life to look forward to, so look to the future and try not to deal on the past. If anything comes up just think of all the positives you have as there's many 😊 this is what I'm teaching myself lately so coming from the ex-most negative person in the world I know we can all have our happy ever after if we let go and let it happen. We've had a few surprise gifts and anniversary money from friends and family that was unexpected so it'll add to our kitty for the day. My folks got married in Gretna Green, they loved it. I can't remember the meal but the ceremony and pictures after were beautiful. They loved it and they had a bagpiper and everything.
So did we.. we also had a piper and got married in the old Blacksmith's shop .To add to the flavour of eloping over the border we gave all the relatives one week notice. The mother in law to be at the time was a picture ! So funny still thinking about it.
God knows if I'll be able to keep it a secret, especially if he keeps suggesting we go. He's already ruined two surprises, our last trip to Scotland was a surprise for our anniversary but he kept suggesting we go then threw a tantrum when I said no so I had to tell him and he did the same with cream fields, even suggesting he go with his friend because I obviously didn't want to go 😒 the problem is were so much on the same wavelength he thinks of the same things lol We're in a horrible town atm, we only love here because OH already owned it and it's next to his office, we're looking to buy a new house soon, at least by the end of the year :) this house it too big for us and it's just going to waste. Ha! That's brill with your nephew, poor kid! I think it's really important for a family to have the same name, I want us to be Mr and Mrs and to have the same name as our kid :) I guess you took your husbands? Wow I don't think I could cope being engaged that long! I'm not even engaged and I'm too impatient lol its hard when life gets in the way though, there's always gonna be other things going on, we don't want to spend a ridiculous amount on our wedding, we'll be mostly skimping on the guests though, we both get our favourite outfits and our amazing honeymoon which will probably cost more than the wedding! Lol We're the two dresses you got totally different? You should have worn them both to see if anyone noticed lol I think I'll get two, one for walking down the Isle and looking gorgeous in 😉 and a really light one for dancing in- we want to do a pretty magical 1st dance. The cabin in Scotland were going to this time is really close to a national park that has red squirrels and a rare bird of prey- can't remember which, can't wait to go, I love seeing wild animals lol I think we'd struggle to fill 35 tbh lol I'd have more people at the after party but probably only parents, siblings, aunties and uncles, OH will probably have a cousin or two but no one is allowed a date, maybe a bit cruel but I'm not paying £100 for someone I don't know lol Hope you enjoy your anniversary, I know you said last week that it was this week so it must be sometime soon lol We've just done the math and our 1000 day anniversary is June 13 this year, definitely celebrating that, so strange to think we'll have been together 1000 days!
So I was about to give my daughter a bath. Popped her in and she decided to pee! Gave me a good chuckle. I took a very satisfying shower today after feeling all gross and sticky after I woke up. Feels soooo good to be clean.

Aye you should deffo get wedding dresses. That was vthe plan to wear one down the isle and one for dancing, however it turned out I only wore one as I had a complex about the one which exposed too much of the shoulders and i didbt want to feel uncomfortable in my wedding, as you have to be 100% confident and i sure did. I can rock the other unused one now but back then I couldn't av felt comfortable due to my shoulders as I had more weight on me back then.
