The first strawberries of the year from my garden today and already so sweet. Definitely a cheerful edition to my breaskfast.

Here’s a thing i have noticed in recent years…on long journeys in summer at speed down the motorway you used to get your windscreen and front of car covered in insects. Similarly driving at night it was moths. But nowadays i can do 200 miles at night down the motorway and not get a single moth hit the windscreen. Sad that insects seem to be in major decline.
Fortunately got plenty of bees and butterflies in my garden!

So evidently the bright orb in the sky has been making more appearances over there than here . My strawberries are producing many , but it has been a much wetter and cooler spring than normal . Whole garden is doing well , but we need many more sunny days . Me too , I have never been this un tanned as this year . La Niña for the third year in a row and a record setter to boot . I’ve had a relatively good week i think (honestly nothing even that major just a few good little bits and my brain being nice for once).
A piece of artwork i commissioned was a lot cheaper than i expected, my drawing tablet arrived (and i love it) and Starkid released a new series of Nightmare time

Also to anyone on here that doesn’t mind musicals i highly recommend episode 2 part 2, Abstinence camp. I think people here would appreciate the style and content even if you have no interest in the rest of the series or main universe

Taking a time out to watch a badger on the way to the pub. First time this city boy has seen a (live) badger. Amazing!
