Weather has been nice this week and I got much landscaping work done . Also have our raised beds planted along with tomatoes . Five days of nude sun bathing and getting tan started . Also been looking at houses with land in a different state . We are retired and this state just passed over a dozen new taxes . Love the geology , politicly , not so much .

Getting a car insurance renewal email this morning saying it’s £77 CHEAPER this year! Totally gobsmacked! (Did they know i have been looking for quotes elsewhere?)

Weather has been normal , cloudy and rain showers for a couple weeks . Break in the rain and was able to plant the rest of my in ground crops and mow the lawns . The weather is supposed to be nice for the next week or so , tanning soon .

We had our first significant rainfall in about 2 months yesterday after an unusually warm and sunny period (for the U.K.) Was relieved to get my garden properly watered as my lawn was getting brown and i want my borders to bloom!

That is great news, my car insurance has never gone down. I was told the insurance goes down when your 25, mine never did, and has gone up year since then. @WillC

Oh WOW… gotta tell you…I had to go to Reception … just had 2 beautiful red roses delivered to me at the office… just 2, but the delivery man said he had been requested to point out that all the thorns were instructed to be removed before delivery … hmmmmmmmmm xxxx

Pen has not long ago phoned me @steve19 and anybody else interested … she was in tears and almost incoherent (completely sober, just extremely upset) but apologised for all her pissballing about, said it was her that arranged for the roses to be sent and she asked that the thorns be removed so that I wouldnt get hurt by them… she said she didnt know what to write as a message, but will meet me at our home station this evening … so that sounds a good start to the weekend … xxx

Thank you @steve19 … we have little upsets, like everybody, and today we would have sorted 5 minutes after I got in, so nothing serious, just Pen being Pen… it appears that Pen thought I was more upset than I was … so I doubt I will lobotomise her now, but may keep the threat in place

Mrs W and Pen here …
When I got to our home station last evening, Pen was there to meet me and drove me home. Then she helped me change from work clothes to lounging clothes, then escorted me to the bathroom where she sat and watched me wash the commute off while the scented candle burned down and then escorted me back to the lounge. There we had a good heart-to-heart chat sensibly - again with scented candles - and each had our say. This was followed by a small delivered chinese meal… the rest of the evening was spent on the settee listening to quiet music, then undressed and off to bed. The bedroom had scented candles, the bed turned right back and rose petals all over the bed … goodness that girl can be so lovely @KinkyMira (when she wants) … last evening really cheered me up xx
