Being told we could go home early this morning 
My little boy had a fall at school yesterday morning. The school nurse rang and said he was complaining of a pain in his ‘brain’ so we rushed him to A&E. He was given paracetamol suppositories as he refuses to take anything in tablet or liquid form - all scans and tests came back clear and he’s now happily playing in the games room 
On a personal note: I did receive a LH email yesterday afternoon 
Husband has a new project at work, something he’s been trying to get in on for a couple of years. He’s excited, and I’m happy to see him that way about work. A few years ago, his work was so depressing, so it is a real turn around.
Was the email about testing?
Yeah @Wood-Nymph - I was in shock as I never expected it but was a nice surprise after the day I was having 
Still keeping my fingers crossed for any future testing. Had my name down for a few this time but obviously not lucky.
Purely shallow, but Julian’s outfits on Strictly this week 
The rain clearing and being able to go hacking by the light of the supermoon this evening. It was wonderful!

My boys had their Annual Reviews today, and I am so happy for them, every single one has said to me that they are extremely happy with what they have received in terms of Salary review and Annual Bonus …….
I had previously been requested to present myself to an 11am meeting with my Boss (a Director), which I duly attended. The meeting was going fine for about 10 minutes until he said that he wanted a couple of others to join us, I said thats his right seeing as he is my Boss and it is his meeting. Well swelt me crikey, in walk the Company Secretary and the MD - I thought “Shit, I got the Spanish Archer” and got ready to walk out. But Boss said just listen to what we have to say ……. they then spoke with me for about 15 minutes, loads of questions, then offered me promotion together with an increase…… could’ve knocked me down wiv a feather ……. but thats what cheered me up recently……. xx
So vary happy for you Mrs @Wurger well deserved and here’s to your celebrations at your success

That is such great news @Wurger and it shows what a great job you do. Pleased for the boys as well. Does the promotion mean you loose working with the boys?

Wow, Thank You @JGood @Craig1234 @steve19 @Stacy2 @WillC @Bonzo2020 Thank You all so very much …….. really knocked me sideways …….. the boys all heard on the grapevine before I got back to the office….. they all stood and clapped and cheered ….. the tears streamed down, because, and I told them….. its all down to them, they done the work, all I do is shout at ‘em…….
No I wont lose working with the boys @steve19 I said I must stay with them, thats how it works - the Boss said thats ok, but you will have another office of boys to deal with too ………… and yes @Craig1234 and @Stacy2 probably sausage roll(s) on Monday and there will be a celebration for all the boys, but not tonight, because Pen and I have a date night …….
Just wish all you lot worked wiv me too ……. have a fantastic weekend all of you please….. and you ensure you stay safe please Thank You again everybody you little loves

Well done you.!! You are obviously a tremendous asset to the company and duly recognised.
Many women working in a predominantly male environment can face various challenges, but you seem to have your team eating out of your hand…that in its self is a tremendous achievement.

What a wonderful rest of the day that must have been. Everyone being properly chuffed. I alway remember the saying in instances such as this….”There is no “I” in “Team””

Yes the boys have done us all proud….. and the new additions to our team are responding in a similar way ……. the new additions still have a bit to learn about the older Team - and vice versa - but we will get there ……. and oh yes Pen and I had a celebratory bottle or two each of vino, plus a celebratory weekend of something far more carnal, love
