We went to Barcelona and didn’t realise we had to book to visit all the Gaudi places.
We were generally disappointed with Barcelona compared to a previous trip +20y ago. Not sure we’ll be back, but if we are, we’ll plan the sagrada familia visit.

It’s so worth it.
I need to go back to Barcelona and explore more, we weren’t there long. I got to see the outside of Casa Batllo too, I’d love to take a peek into Gaudi’s brain and imagination!

What cheered me up recently was taking a long hard bike ride solo, and listening to my workout music. It was the first long and hard one in a while. I felt so energized afterward. And the ride quelled my MdDS symptoms making for a great remainder of the day.

Always love to discover new stuff even at my advanced age! About 20 years ago I bought an album by Ayreon just because James LaBrie of Dream Theater sang in it, and it lead me to buying the back catalogue and every release since as the music and subject matter was right up my street!

Went to the garden centre today to get some plants and compost for some hanging baskets. We forgot the compost so I sent hubby in to go and pay for some while I waited by the compost with my trolley full of plants. Next thing I know some bloke comes over to me and starts chatting. Saying you are going to be busy and I said yes but he didn’t go away and just kept talking to me. Only when hubby came out of the garden centre and came over did he make a very quick exit. I said to hubby “see you leave me alone for 5 minutes and I get chatted up”. Gave my ego a boost though

It might be a bit of a daft thing, but the unconditional love of my dog. He sidles up to me and just leans on my side, head on my shoulder. It always lifts me up, especially so this year when so much has gone wrong. He really is a diamond.

They were awesome, it’s a 2 day ticket we’ve got so going back Sunday just a pain getting home now cos the trains aren’t running where we need to go
