What song/s can’t you stand? 😃

I absolutely detest Fairytale of New York, 2 piss heads slagging each other off. Not my idea of Christmas!

That’s probably why I like it! :rofl::rofl: @wildflower @WillC

I think I’ll add anything from Take That to the list. I’ve clicked not interested multiple times but YouTube insists on bringing it back up :joy:

Each and every song from Madonna, except for Crazy For You. I love that song. She didn’t write it though, she just performed it.

Young Folks by Peter Bjorn and John, uuurrggh!

Noah and the Whale, Love Love Love or whatever it’s called.

That Little Mix song that rips off the Blankety Blank tune.

There’s a Mariah Carey song that’s pretty tuneless, which is bad enough, but she keeps doing these very very high pitched screams just because she can.

Coldplay, Paradise and that Viva La Vida one (any Coldplay song really)

Rolling in the Deep Adele (to be honest any Adele song)

Rhianna-Diamonds

I may be a bit vague on the titles of the songs cos I have no interest in them, but i hate them cos they’re played on a loop at work, and these particular one’s get right on my fucking tits!

Not sure the forum server has enough capacity for me to list the bands I dislike :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

About a decade ago we were fortunate to get for free, a VIP motorhome pass for a major festival.

My other half chose the time when Take That were on to take a break from the headline bands as the food stands and loos would be deserted.

More stuff I dislike:

Any song by Pulp or The Verve.

Any Madonna song with the exception of La Isla Bonita

Anything by Rhianna, Little Mix, Taylor Swift, Take That, Bon Jovi, Green Day and Ed Sheeran.

And I really cannot stand Beyonce.

There will be more!

*edited to add Oasis to my hate list. Can’t stand looking or listening to them so I don’t know how I forgot about them! :joy:

Anything by Elvis Costello, cant stand his voice. If when in the car and one of his songs starts up on the stereo hubby moves it on to the next one. He is one of hubbys favourites and i actually went with him to one of his concerts and regreted every minute of it.

I said they’d be more!

Meatloaf, Prince and Michael Jackson…with the exception of Beat It but that’s only to due to Eddie Van Halens guitar solo!

And I agree with you @Bonzo2020 on Coldplay, U2 and Blur.

This may seem sacrilege as a rock fan, but i have tried and I can’t get into Led Zeppelin. I don’t mind Kashmir, Immigrant Song and All Of My Love, but the rest just leaves me cold, including Stairway to Heaven.

Also another couple of irritating songs…George Ezra Shotgun and that one about throwing a party when he’s dead, oh I feckin wish!

Nah, it’s not sacrilege. We all have likes and dislikes in terms of music even within our favorite genres.

A friend of mine years back loved that band and she named her dog Kashmir.

As soon as I read your comment, my mind went straight to her and her dog.

I love Led Zeppelin but there’s a few of their songs that even I’m not keen on. Stairway to Heaven has been so overplayed its a wonder that anyone still enjoys hearing it anymore!

@WillC Since I’m still thinking about her, I’ll you that her name was Brandi.

I called her Brandilicious…

I understand.

My favorite version of that song for awhile now as been when Heart sang it for the band in 2008 at the Kennedy Center Honors.

Whoever produced and directed it nailed it. So much went into that song, the production, a huge choir who all wore hats like their long lost drummer used to wear (he passed away young). The late drummer’s son played the drums for that performance, when Heart performed the song in front of the band Led Zeppelin and he wore a hat too like his dad used to.

For me it’s less about the song than the overall production and seeing shots of the band members enjoying their tribute and the amazing performance of all involved during that song.

My brother is a steward at The Wolves and deals with Robert Plant quite often and he’s a lovely down to earth chap.
