What to do

All I have to say to that is…

Im terrible with conversation even before lockdown, the friend who offered the toy shop trip talks enough for three people and i just listen (easier to do when i have a pint in hand lol). I just feel like i bore people and having nothing to talk about makes me more boring

I know how you feel, it’s awful not getting motivated to do anything and that brain fog is awful too.

Have you looked at your diet? Things we eat and drink can often effect our mood, especially all the rubbish you find in processed foods.

I found eating more clean and cutting back on fizzy drinks and more water helped somewhat. I still struggle with motivation though.

I understand the diet part but mine isnt too bad. Barely touched a fizzy drink for a few years, even cut down on chocolate etc.

I hope you are coping ok @FireCracker89

Thanks @zombifiedguy  I’m ok really, doing so much better than I was this time last year. I am feeling unmotivated and a bit low but I’m safe, able to relax and smile and I’m able to accept that it’s temporary and things will improve. That wasn’t the case previously (for many years) so I consider myself to have improved hugely. I can speak from experience though! I just hope that one day I can use my awful experiences to help others since I can relate and I now know that it is possible to get better. Even though I will have dips I know that it is manageable now. By being open on here and in your real life you will be helping others more than you realise.

Just because you think you bore people, doesn’t mean you do! Don’t be hard on yourself! You’re chatty friend is making conversation, just enjoy it and join in!

I found this was helpful too, in my case it helped more with my physical health but being able to do more has of course helped my mental health.

Wow @zombifiedguy! I need to know your secret! To be honest I don’t think I could give up chocolate, I love dark chocolate :yum:

A banana a day is good for your mood, i think it’s the potassium.

Yeah! Crack out the old games! I like replaying stuff from my childhood, it’s comforting, fun, plus gives you the sense of fulfillment when you complete levels

I did have some dark chocolate for a little bit as a healthier alternative.
To be honest i just walked up to the chocolate aisle, looked at the treats, said no to myself and walked away

Might be good for your mood but I can’t stand them! I’ll stick to chocolate, a nice cup of tea and some gardening :tulip::seedling:
