Where to buy pure Vegetable drinks

@Peitho I’m willing to try anything if it tastes  I will just have to drink it fast hopefully it won’t be too bad.

I’d also say maybe invest in a cheap juicer to make your own smoothies would be beneficial :slightly_smiling_face:

I tried Innocent smoothies, but then read how much sugar they contained and thought better of it.
To be honest I just think a balanced diet is better than liquidised stuff.
Also read that as we age we need more protein to keep our muscle mass

I had a similar thought a while back and invested in a ninja bullet blender.
Bought spinach, carrots, pineapple, coconut water, cucumber, melon, mango etc and blitzed up my own juices.
Bit of trial and error regarding the flavour etc and be ready for the results of a massive fiber kick lol

@AJSTAR Thanks i think i will do that in the future it’s just getting myself started with the drinks.

@WillC You are completely right a balanced healthy diet is really the way to go, i just find it so hard at the moment with eating, as i went through a small eating disorder during a terrible relationship my eating just hasn’t returned like it was once before.

@GoGirl12 O Thanks I never saw them when i went in there the other day, I shall have a proper look thanks.

@zombifiedguy Do you still make your own?

Not as often as i used to. With early mornings for work etc i dont really give myself enough time to make them.

In the past i did cut up tons of fruit and store it in fridge or freezer so next time i went to make one the fruit was ready, cuts down on the time etc

So my “fruit salad” along with meats and cheese? Very continental - Sounds good to me :partying_face:

The problem you get with the crap you see on the supermarket shelfs is the suger/salt content aswell.

@Bigiain Is that to keep it preserved?

The “healthy” stuff i see on the shelves that is Vegan friendly or an alternative to meat
or natural products etc is so processed and full of preservatives etc it has a shelf life that is unbelievably greater than the natural stuff. That puts me off.

We often have them at the food project if you are passing through Sheffield. To be honest though, they don’t taste that great. There is a reason some things end up as foodwaste.

I think i might also start buying Complan as i remember my dietitian saying to buy it when I’m struggling.

Many drinks you can buy in shops and places will only have a small amount of veg in them and balances it out with fruits for flavour as pure veg drink would probably make most gag lol
So defo look into making your own then you can decide yourself what tastes you prefer

So i had my first innocent smoothie strawberries and bananas. Taste wasn’t bad at all. I also got myself a Tesco version Mango Passion just to see what it’s like.

Good for you! I ended up not going for a walk and getting a tesco delivery instead, I wanted to try the tesco version but the store that the deliveries come from didn’t have any. I got spinach though, I should give myself brownie points for that! I’m glad you got yours

@JoCat That’s why i stopped getting mine delivered I never end up with what I really want, tescos delivery uses the smaller shop for where I am, it’s because I’m in the middle of two stores both the same distance so I don’t know why they use the smaller one.

Top points for getting spinach :+1:

Ha ! Thanks. Same with my deliveries, they come from the smaller store. Baffle me.

You could try Actimel or Yakult and think about getting your gut bacteria healthier, that will help with inflammation after illness. I’d also add a good multivitamin instead of drinking the juices because of the lack of fibre in them and high sugar content.

@glitterismyfavouritecolour Thanks. O I forgot about those. I did also buy Complan as thatchas all different vitamins in it.

So finished my Tescos version this morning, just to let you know the Mango Passion was really nice.

You said you got some spinach I have never had that before do you eat in a sandwich or mix it with anything? I found some bags of frozen mixed vegetables in my freezer so i have also been having that with my meals. Ontop of that and the smoothies i have also been having Complan it’s really nice like having a milkshake.
