Which Liberator

I really need to purchase a Liberator, but can't choose between the wedge http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=8845

or jazz motion http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=35250

I have had 3 major spine surgeries and suffer with Rhuematoid arthrits, spondylosis and ME/CFS and Fibro. I'm also hugely overweight, but I can't find any reviews from people who rely on these type of cushions, that have similar health issues.

I currently can't do anything regarding my weight, as spine rehab is priority and I am hoping to get back to the specialist fat management clinic, I was discharged due to my other health conditions being a bigger concern (I was gutted).

Those who own either or both cushion, what would be your gut instinct for me to try?

Can't comment on either as I don't own them but my 2 pence worth, legend says you get what you pay for and most of the time the most expensive is better quality etc ? I'd go for the most expensive first. If it doesn't work out take advantage of being able to get a refund! Then try out the cheaper one

also this may not work but it's just a suggestion, what about this chair?

http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=30776

I don't own either, but I also think the first one looks much better. More comfortable and stable.

Honestly? I can't justify the price. It's a piece of memory foam type material in a polyester case. There must be more orthopedical and/or medical solutions, or even a DIY style one (like seed/bean filled cushions) that will do what you need at much lower tags.

I have the Wedge and I absolutely love it. The angle is great and it's very supportive and sturdy. This one is slightly wider than the Jaz Motion with a better angle, so would probably be the best one to go with at the moment.

I have weak bones and get tired quite easily so can't support myself for long, but the wedge has really helped me work around those problems, making playtime much better and more comfortable for the both of us.

It is costly, but has been worth every penny for us.

Thanks for the reply. I can't see me ever wanting to use that chair, I prefer to be on a bed, plus it'd be easier to take a cusion on my travels. Many thanks for yor thoughtful suggestion though

It's a stronger density foam, so will support my weight better, normal memory foam, I sink into it.

Not really looked intomedical supplies, they're not daft, they hike up the prices.

The DIY cushions you mentioned, sound really good, but I want convenience, so choosing the lazy option of buying a liberator.

Thanks for your input x

I think the width on the wedge with work better with the huge width of my body!

I've got both, and I'd say that you'd probably benefit more from the wedge. In terms of angles, there's really not much in it, and the jaz motion is fabulous, but that extra bit of width on the wedge means you'll obviously have more body space, but also somewhere to hold on to if you want to, which can help you feel more stable in certain positions.
Honestly, if I had a pound for every time someone told me "it's just a bit of foam", I could buy the whole range, but until you try one, it's hard to comprehend. I've looked and tried medical type cushions, and there's no comparison. Liberator don't compress under the weight of even two curvaceous bodies, they're built to do the job in hand. Inflatables are squeaky, they can irritate and chafe the skin and feel cheap. Lovehoney's returns policy will give you peace of mind, but I honestly don't think you'll be wanting to part with it, once you get one :-)

Thanks Foxxy, I did consider a blow up Fetish Fantasy one, but decided against it in case I popped it or something 😂 Sounds like the wedge is perfect for me, so I'm gonna invest in one.

Inflatables are a no no here, the cats would kill them 😂
I hope you love it, I really think you will. I wouldn't be without mine now

I have brought jaz motion due to hips separating spd in pregnancy .
but i will say actually i prefer blow up wedge the angle is much better and having handles realy helps with movement. Having bad hips sturggling to move they where so helpfull.
also the jaz is not as big so the weight of body pushes it into the mattress actually not lifting very high due to sinking.
The blow up distribute the weight stops sinking can blow up where needed a little softer seem perfect and it's wider so for me being over weigh with large bottom is perfect it's very strong feels just as good and fully waterproof where as jaz water resistant. Between two save a bit go for blow up its actually more effective. Hope this is helpful x

Haven't tried the wedge lib so cant comment on this

I have chair and to be truthful straps don't allow for much movement room is awkward to use and certainly not for use on bed also I'm a plus size 20 and find try to fit under chair is very tight squeeze.🙈🙊

I've got fur babies and a blow up wouldn't last unfortunately. I'm gonna go for the wedge xx

I have just took the plunge on the big liberator wedge the £179.99 one with two bits to it. Should be here tomorrow I will report back my Findings if you like. x

I'm intrigued by the ramp, and it's possibilities alongside the wedge, so I'll be interested to hear what you think. Have fun when it arrives! :-)

I don't own either but as a fellow RA sufferer i would be more inclined to go for the jazz motion looks like the rocking side to it would help getting in to a comfortable position
