We've usually bought our toys together, though I did used to work in Ann Summers so occasionally bought the odd one home using the staff discount or that I'd won in sales competitions. They weren't often well received so after I left there I've not done it since.
I have been thinking about surprising her with an order from here but can't make up my mind, not sure if she'll love it or hate it and I'll be back in mantanamo bay again or not.

I usually buy the toys, but I will ask the OH his opinion. He usually always says just get it. I like to take my time reading reviews to make sure it's a good toy, in fact I really enjoy reading other people's experience's using sex toys.

Me... since he isnt really into it. He lets me do what I want but all toys are mine as he has no interest (at least thus far). He just doesnt get as horny as me and when he does hes happy with me or his hand haha

Funny story, actually. I bought a toy in a sex shop in Amsterdam and the woman at the till said it was rude to let the "lady" buy the toy. A true gentleman should offer to pay for it or take it to the till. I don't know how true that is, but it made me laugh because I always buy my stuff. It doesn't bother me at all and I don't get shy or embarrassed about it. It's just like buying a pair of shoes to me now...well... like shoes that I'll have sex with later, I guess...

During my menopausal lull we agreed that I would let him know if I was up for any action rather than him trying to initiate and being turned down half the time (less stress than me feeling pressured and him feeling rejected) - we seem to have stayed with the pattern of me initiating (a lot more often though, these days!) although lots of mutual fflirting goes on in the lead up.
I buy the toys / lingerie I like and present the options for that night's entertainment... In terms of who pays, all our finances are joint. We joke that he earns it and I spend it.

I’ve always bought the toys! My boyfriend loves that I have an overflowing toy bag (takes up the entirety of the bottom of my wardrobe... it’s a BIG bag haha) I’d be interested to see what toy he’d buy for me but I don’t think he ever will as I already have a bit of everything. When it comes to underwear, however... I’d love for him to surprise me!

Like "Hey honey, want to try a new dildo, we have a little extra" or "This lingerie looks cute, do you mind if I get it? Do you want a matching one :P".
