Unfortunately as I’m an unfit 56 yr old, I could probably only manage a tea towel on there nowadays ![]()
Wait until you’re 75, I probably couldn’t raise a party napkin ! I remember the days when I started dating my OH and would walk out of the shower with a hand towel draped over my member.
Gentlemen @Latestr8 @Simon_101 this is not the competition we men need to hear ![]()

Time for a training montage, we are made of steel and iron
Cardio exercise also helps ED. I read an academic research paper that 40 minutes, 5 days a week at an intense level improved ED.
Great point.
I’m no doctor but just good old fashioned clean living helps so much in terms of our bodies, health, sexual health, blood pressure, mental health etc.
Exercise. Eat well. No vices.
I get it, it’s not easy, it’s not “fun” living that way for many but many a person on many prescriptions could make changes and not have to take the pills (or at least cut down on their total prescriptions., from say 8 of them to 4 or something.)
Exercise helps people’s mental health. It helps lower and manage stress. It helps lower blood pressure. It helps folks sleep better. It helps folks do more as they aren’t as tired due to being in shape so they may do more in the course of a day because they aren’t tired out.
Eating well helps our bodies in all ways. Again, I’m not a doctor, but it will help our heart, our blood vessels so they don’t fill up with plaque.
Smoking makes a person’s blood thicker. “Yes, smoking thickens your blood, making it stickier and more prone to dangerous clotting. This effect is primarily caused by nicotine and carbon monoxide, which alter your blood chemistry and damage the delicate lining of your blood vessels.”
That helps bring about heart attacks for many smokers.
Smoking affects erections in men.
Cardio is great for our bodies and our minds. Exercise in general is. So is eating well. Our bodies “thank” us for eat well, for exercising etc.
I mean, this goes on and on.
Not just exercise but various type of exercise. Cardio (both low and high intensity), strength, flexibility, balance, explosive are all equally important.
Most people underestimate the amount and intensity that is truly required.
And the earlier in life the better. I saw a YouTube video of a lady of about 70 exercising intensely. She said she wasn’t doing it so she could do things today she was doing it so she could do things thing in 10 years.
For a lot of people in their 70’s carrying a couple bags of groceries up a flight of stairs wipes them out. That’s why we have so many debilitated fairly young people in the states. (USA). I get a daily mix of cardio, and strength training for at least an hour each day. That begins my day. Anything after that is icing on the cake.
I do!
I dont randomly pee like some people IO know.
I also am a blackbelt at judo so I think iam strong
I’ve been practising for a while now and while I’m not exactly bouncing across the floor with my new found muscular tone, I could play a trumpet with my arse and dig a hole in the ground with a prostate toy. If I wanted to.
Actually I find it difficult to control the PC muscles separately from my abdominal. After a few repetitions I can feel my belly contracting too. I do feel they’re worth it, especially when you spend long hours sat down.
I recently started doing kegels due to another change in my IBS. I downloaded a free app to assisting keeping me on track. About 4 days in I noticed I have started waking with a morning woodie, been a couple of years since I’ve had these regularly, now having to relearn how to have the morning pee with the penis pointing up instead of down
.
Its only been a couple of weeks and have noticed on the few occasions I have had a sexual erection it has been far harder than of recent times as well, so enjoying this side effect and intend on continuing for this benefit even though haven’t seen much of a change for my IBS issue yet.
Good for you. Seeing results in 4 days seems really quick. Most of the things I have read imply it takes months to feel changes. What app did you use ?
Free version of PFEI kegel trainer, yes I was a little surprised by the quick change. I dont really have ED, I was putting the slow change to just old age/retirement/etc.
