I’m not that hungry, so husband is having fish, chips and mushy peas (eugh), together with a pile of batter bits (because we are up north and they are civilised up here).
Oh, and a bottle of Irn Bru 1901, because they sell it in B&M and he loves it. I sometimes wonder what I see in him… oh yes, his cock, that’s it ![]()

I really didn’t know what I wanted to eat after a very stressful day so I currently have in the oven cod in batter, a meat-free sausage and some Quorn nuggets
I don’t plan on eating anything with them.
Tonight I’m cooking a lighter version of Sweet and Sour Pork. Going to serve it with Egg Fried Rice.
Half of the Sweet and Sour will be going in the freezer so that we can have it for a speedy mid-week meal in the next few weeks.

We have some Laver and Dulse sea vegetables added into a miso seafood broth with soba noodles.
It might sound weird, but it‘s totally delicious. ![]()
Celebrating tonight so OH has requested steak… got the fattest ribeyes I could find! Serving with peppercorn sauce, dauphinois potatoes, and garlic-butter green beans.
Lemon meringue later… and definitely some Cabernet! I deserve it after many hours spent in the kitchen ![]()

It was a pretty big squid and looking at the suckers on the tentacles I was a little concerned I was going to get a snog before I managed to swallow it!
I impulse bought a set of bowls, spoons and chopsticks for pho last night so would be rude not to put them to use tonight with a lovely big bowl of chicken pho.
Roast duck, bbq ribs and loaded potatoe skins.
