Plant based ‘steak’, a new one that is like filet mignon and it was soooo good! I had it it with asparagus, sautéed potatoes with garlic, rosemary and sea salt and roasted garlic aioli :yum:

Sorry, Amy. I grew up in “The Beef State” (NE). “Plant based ‘steak’” is fine, if you like pork-based corn-on-the-cob.

To clarify, I moved to CA after college. It took about two years before I got what I considered a proper steak, and that was prepped by a friend who worked in a steak house, and pulled a very moldy T-bone out of the back of the fridge. YUM! Didn’t need a knife, and very juicy!

The rest of the dinner sounds great, though. I trust a proper grape-based red wine was involved.

No idea what OH is cooking but seeing as I’m not there her and daughter probably order in I’ll keep a look on bank then when I get home tomorrow I’ll say my turn for bought in and see what their faces are like

Tonight is Lamb Tagine with cous cous and tomorrow will be Lemon/chilli chicken with green beans. The tagine has been in the slow cooker since lunchtime and tomorrow’s chicken is marinating for 24 hours.

We need something quick for tomorrow as we’re taking the Goldwing to a classic bike show (it’s a 1985 model) and we’ll be out all day.
