When you explain to your grandkids that when I was young we would get the TV guide and scan through the whole week to see what was on TV . And we had to watch a show when it was on , no talking while the show played . Oh , and if I was lucky see maybe 3-5 new movies at the theater a year .
… you get nostalgic about the shops you used to frequent and realise that most of the decent ones have gone.

After retirement you often do not know what day it is because you do not care , so figuring out what days are yard waste or recycle is a bit harder . Also when friends want to do something on the weekend and you decline because it is way more crowded .

You know you’re getting old when you haven’t heard any of the artists in the top 40 when you used to know everyone of them and all the songs, now I am clueless, pop culture and the charts was my thing in the ‘good old days’.
