I need some more ideas please... I've seen the "music to dance to" thread but I'm asking more about what you like to get jiggy too.
Personally I don't like it too rock-y or the other extreme, too soppy.. but has anyone got any recommendations? (specific artists/tracks ideally!)

Well that's true.... but I'm sure my housemates would rather I tried to disguise it a little by putting on some music as accompaniment!
Unfortunately some of my fav music to groooooooove to has got memories firmly attached to now.

Stereophonics - Mr Writer has a lovely consistent beat to it, works like a charm. I'll get off to pretty much anything...Most classical music is quite suitable too. A rousing chorus of the 1812 overture has enough bangs and crashes to be able to get quite into it, I think. Though best stear clear of the national anthem...

Yeah i somewhat agree that the music is against the mood but i enjoy it. Well it depends, if its heavy and rough then it suits just fine. If the mood is more sensual, emotional, smooth, passionate, raw, a real deep shared inner connection that in that specific moment you both feel and embrace.
