Is it somewhere in the Black Country where you can do “legging” (lying on your back, feet against the roof of a tunnel, and you walk/push the barge through)…?
Seem to have a recollection of doing this as a child at the Black Country Museum (though that was decades ago, so I may be wrong!). If that place even exists as well…
Saying that, they must have done it anywhere on canals across the country! 
It’s been about 30 years since i last went to The Black Country Museum, it still exists, some of Peaky Blinders was filmed there, the most recent being the film. I have been through the tunnels on a narrow boat, but it was powered, and i don’t remember the option to try legging being available. I have seen programmes with people legging.

Yeah, you lost me pal for a moment with the bench lark but I get a lot of brain fog and I don’t hear so much local lingo these days so I just blame meself for not getting it… It’s been a long time since I went to the black country Museum, I’m just really glad with all this peaky blinders it’s given our lovely home the recognition it deserves

Yeah, I really must visit the BCM again as they’ve added so much since I last went. Also Dudley Zoo and castle just up the road from the BCM!
Lovely that Peaky Blinders puts us on the map!
Although Willenhall and Wolverhampton being used to portray 1980’s Belfast at the height of the troubles in a different series was a bit of an insult!

Glad my memory isn’t failing me that much. So happy to hear it’s still going! I’ll have to take my children there soon when I’m back in the Midlands… appreciate the heads up and info about Peaky Blinders! Cracking show.

There was a French Italian guy i knew and oh my word his accent made me melt. The problem was, I couldn’t tell what he was saying! But yeah, I kept complimenting him on it and I think he got the message I had a thing for his accent! X
