Battery wand choice

Thinking of buying the OH a wand as a surprise present. This would be our first wand and I can see two I like,

and

Anybody tried both and which would you say was best?

Thanks.

Just to confuse things further, have you considered this one? It's rechargeable for extra power that's reliable, but is still cordless like the other 2 you've mentioned.

Personally, the Lovehoney rechargeable one is my favourite of the 3.

If you really like the 2 you've mentioned, I would recommend the Tracey Cox one as it has more functions and is coated in silicone for a smoother, hypoallergenic touch :)

I'm probably not going to be much help as I don't have both you have linked. I do have the Tracey Cox one though and both of us really like it.

I have the 1st lovehoney one and it is really no different to a normal vibrator tbh. I would either compromise with jesses suggestion or if you want something with the legendary power of a wand then mains is the only way.
I wouldn't recommend a mini wand at all because the power isn't what you'd expect from a wand and is disappointing if you expect it to be more powerful and you can get much better vibrators.

But that is simply an opinion, of the two you asked about I'd go for the Tracey Cox one as it's smoother and will be more luxurious and comfortable

I had the first one you listed and still have the one Jess suggested, I would definitely go for her suggestion over the one you linked, it's stronger and rechargeable, which works out cheaper long-term :)

i prefer the rechargable wands or mains due to battery shortages in my house ![](upload://f8zGclFeQx35HwZLqJ7J1rFzQ0n.gif) but i did like the lovehoney battery powered one it was very poweful and waterproof

I own both of these and without a doubt I would buy the Tracy Cox one hands down. The silicone head is super smooth and feels better against bare skin and intimate areas and I love the vibrations with this one more.

I know they're a bit more money but have you considered either of the following?

The reviews seem really good, perhaps someone who has tried both can tell you whether they're worth the extra money.

Really appreciate all the replies.

Don't use toys enough to spend loads and have loads of rechargeable batteries, so now I'm still not sure! ![](upload://ez5kOkpKXRZOxjavAURYmQxVTau.gif)

Think I'm swaying towards the Tracy Cox one.

Hi,
Sorry to ease in with bad news but rechargeable batteries aren't recommended for sex toys 😕 If memory serves me correctly it's beca use they are slightly wider. There's been other posts on rechargeable batteries or id be none the wiser.
As for your question I have the Tracey Cox one which you linked and it's nice to look at, the silicone feels great and I'd rate it as adverage in the power. If ' your oh isn't a power queen of is new to your in general I'd recommend it. The Lovehoney one you linked I don't own so can't comment, the reviews are good.
Personally in my opinion you'd be wiser going with the rechargeable one that Jess linked it's the same price, rechargeable so will save you the money you'd need for batteries. It's always worth looking at rechargeable or mains powered. If your budget is around the mark of the links I'd go for the Lovehoney rechargeable for sure 💟xx

Just to weigh in on rechargeables they aren't for me because I use toys spur of the moment so having to charge up a toy is a total mood kill

Won't be much help as i don't own the LH wand though i do own the TC wand lovely smooth silicone lots of flex easy to use, could just be the particular wand i have but i've found mine to be really loud and under powered

Hi Spidercouple

I'm glad we could help! Just to reiterate what others' have said, please do not use rechargeable batteries in sex toys. They're slightly bigger than regular batteries, and will get stuck! :(

If you want to keep costs down, and power high, I'd say you're looking at going for either the Tracey Cox wand or the one I suggested. The main differences are:

Lovehoney = plastic top, flexible neck, multi-speed but no patterns

Tracey Cox = silicone top, inflexible neck, speeds AND patterns

They're both rechargeable, the same price, cordless and have the same average star rating (albeit the TC one has more reviews as the Lovehoney one is reasonably new)

Don't forget that if you go for one, and decide you don't like it, you can send it on back for an exchange or refund, even if you've used it. So if you're reeeaaally stuck, I'd eenie-meenie-miney-moe it and give one a try. It's no loss if you send it back to us :)

I would go for the rechargable Jess suggested. I had some battery powered toys but they have all been thrown away and replaced with rechargable toys. Then you don't have to buy batteries constantly and it must be much better for our environment.

I have read good reviews of the Vibratex battery operated wand (Dangerouslilly and Epiphora, if I remember correctly) http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16908 , it's supposed to have fairly rumbly vibrations.

As for rechargeable batteries, I've never had a problem with them in toys where they fit without problem! Does it really need saying that it's not a good idea to force them into toys/tools with a battery compartment made to the precise size of non-rechargeable batteries (like the Tracy Cox Supersex Controllers or Maglite penlights)? But if the rechargeables fit, I use them - FunFactory even expressly recommend using rechargeable batteries!
