Slightly off topic but can you remember occasionally a film would finish slightly earlier than scheduled and they'd pop in a cartoon? After what was then a boring "dad" film...road runner or something to brighten up our day "an extra cartoon"...🤣🤣
Yes Jilly, Roadrunner or Tom and Jerry always seemed to be slotted in to fill the odd 5 minutes! Also, Disney Time was always on at Bank Holidays, consisting of clips of old and current Disney films, that was in the days before videos, we were so easily pleased!
Not forgetting the scary public information films they showed back in the 1970s.They must have had an effect as I can still remember them clearly now.
