Yeah looked like he should have been on Dr.Who that thing along with Hamble...🤣
Nightmares!
Just remembered another The Pink Panther Show...loved the car!
Had the toy car...🤣
Me too, you had to thread a plastic cable tie thing in the back, then yank it out to power the motor!
Captain Caveman (though it scared me)
Round the twist
Trapdoor
Knightmare
What a blessing YouTube is, just being able to access such fond memories.
Yes Gosig, you can spend hours looking into the past on YouTube, with music too, not just tv!
Captain Planet
He's still my hero
My husband has a load on DVD and Video. His all time favourite was Battle of the Planets. He also loved Dogtanian (that theme is definitely an ear worm) and the Perils of Penelope Pitstop.
Kinky Mira...The Hooded Claw was Penelope' nemesis! Namechecked in The Power of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood! Loved Wacky Races and Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines...never did catch that pigeon! 😂
For anyone in or around Sheffield post Covid, the 'Extra Life Gaming Lounge' plays many of the above on Saturday mornings and serves a great range of breakfast to go with it. Well worth a visit :)
Sounds interesting Melody!
Yeah, really good place to spend a Saturday morning reliving either your childhood or your children's childhood as you watched over their shoulders. The owners are great to chat with and you can even put in requests. Hopefully they will reopen soon.
Not sure I will tell them I gave their place a shout out on the Lovehoney Sex Toy Test forum
Used to love Mary, Mungo and Midge
Grange Hill
Crackerjack
Used to love Crackerjack! It's Friday, it's five to five, it's...Crackerjack! Typical BBC tightness, giving away a pencil! 😉 I remember the horsey ones aimed at girls, Follyfoot, Black Beauty and White Horses.
Anyone remember the Saturday morning cartoons on ITV early 70’s…The Jackson 5, The Osmonds, The Funky Phantom? Also Barnaby…“Barnaby the bear’s my name, never call me Jack or Jane” theme tune! Then there was Bod!
@WillC, yes, I remember Barnaby the bear & Bod, also Rentaghost, Hong Kong Phooey, Inch High Private Eye, Mr Ben, Captain Pugwash, the Clangers, Yogi Bear.
And Boo Boo! ![]()
It’s not all bad nowadays (and how old do I sound writing that!). For example, Hey Duggee is just fabulous, the Clangers is just how I remember it (but with Michael Palin’s luscious narration) and Swashbuckle is just as good as any ‘children contestant versus cartoonish baddies’ as I remember.
